At the Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice, display specialist AOC will show off the most competitive gaming display line-up to ever attend an esports event. The GSYNC ready display is based on a 35-in... AOC To Shows AGON AG352UCG6 Curved Monitor Soon
Looking forward to the reviews and especially the MSRP...if it is 1200-1300 USD and able to compete with the other "name" companies I will be giving this a go!
I own their current 35" widescreen.. Its incredible in every way. Zero issues and the colors, black levels are awesome! For $799 you just can't go wrong. I liked it more than the Predator. At the time that monitor was $1299.
Just give us the Acer Predator X35 and Asus PG35VQ already. I'm tired of monitors that have one feature but then lack another. Can 10-bit panels please become the norm? Away with the 8-bit panels already!
Thank You sir!! I will look at this monitor when it comes out and provide feedback when I have received it..I am unfamiliar with the company but based on some research I will give them a chance.
Unfortunately rumors are that the 27'' HDR10 144hz display has been delayed again to Summer 2018 and the 35'' HDR10 200hz Ultrawide has been delayed (again!) to holidays 2018. I hope it isn't true, but it seems AU Optronics is having a hard time creating the displays with all the features.
Really, these technologies are abundantly available, but withholding them it's literally the only thing that the display industry has to keep their pricing hierarchy intact. I doubt we'll ever see HDR and adaptive sync in a price that I'd be willing to pay for a display.
I wish they'd brighten those puppies up a bit. I got very much used to the 350cd/m² on my current one.
So is the extra 20hz the only difference between this and the one you got? Or am I missing something?
These panels are a defiantly beauty to behold in person as I just picked up the Asus ROG PG348Q though I will say not sure if the 3440x1440p resolution is quite adequate as I notice some bad "staircase effect" depending on the game lol. As for AOC never really heard of them before so take that into consideration and do research before hand to see about the quality control issues if there bad or not, it's 2018 yet we cant seem to figure out how to make a decent PC panel go figure!
I think it does have a lot to do with just keeping up their pricing paradigm of BS. But at the same time these features will become standard eventually. Might be a decade away, but they will become standard some day.
I hope you're right, though the human eye has a fixed limitation. At some point screen tech will be redundant such that we won't perceive any difference, which locks us into the price paradigm we are in now. let's both hope for freesynch/GSynch, 4k display, that does HDR in 40"+ for $500. woot!
