I've been getting BSOD after BSOD the last couple of days and I think it's down to the PSU, the fan barely spins and I can't feel any air coming out the back. I was just wondering if anyone else has this PSU and can confirm it should be spinning fast enough to produce air from the back.
When does it bsod exactly? My old tx750 would bsod when it was cold im the room and stayed like that until the next day. New psu fixed my problem.
Here are all my dumps, the newer ones are more accurate as I've fixed some things in the earlier ones, like updating some old files etc. http://www.mediafire.com/?5nfkckds59uda80 The PC works fine when I'm just on the net, but when I play a game it reboots. If it's not the PSU I'm screwed as I can't afford to buy anything else ATM.
Phoenix not always does a psu black out if it has issues; my older tx750 bsod. Just a shutdown would suggest lack of power; hence the black screen
I've been using the HX620 for quite some time now and have had no issues. These units also have a pretty long warranty - has yours expired?
I have had my HX620 for a long time now. About 6 months after I had it, my fan stopped spinning and my unit was getting hot. I can't remember if I had bsod's or not though. I RMA'ed it and this unit is 4 or 5 years going strong. Best PSU I've owned. Air movement from the rear is very minimum with mine. Good luck with your new PSU.
