Anyone using Albumplayer?

A friend told me to check this player out and it is really good. Especially if you have a large collection of music in albums. I keep my collection in Albums as it is much easier to handle and organize so such a player works perfect for me. If you have a similar system, i urge you to check this player out.

This player has ASIO playback and is excellent for organization and tagging.
I have been using it for a couple months now and it is one of the best players out there IMO. I used Winamp for years then moved to a custom Foobar system but I have been spending alot of time with this working with the database for my music collection. Also supports high quality audio such as WAV, FLAC and APE files.

You get features like auto DJ, Locking for parties, built in search engines for tagging, artist pics...bios..etc...too many features to list guys check it out. Expect to spend time learning as it is powerful so it takes some work to get used to everything but it is worth it.

Do yourself a favor and check out the player, especially if you have a large music collection.

I downloaded the player.. Looks cool. But.. It added some microsoft stuff and I want it gone,how do you delete it off the player? And it doesn't support mp4 but there is a dll you can put in it to make it work?

interesting...Epica...youtubed...good stuff...the player? meh...im not going to pay for a player when so many free ones out there do the same as well...foobar is my choice of drug for now..and has been since its early inception.. mostly for its low resource consumption.. havent found another one that can even begin to compare...yet.

 

I always liked Foobar to and have it highly customized but that being said, it does not have the same database management as this player does.
Check out the Foobar thread and you will see some examples of my Foobar config.

To note, I like many different players and I am not trying to tell everybody to use this over whatever player they are using now...just offering new options for people to check out.

 

My iTunes configuration (it's in the Foobar thread; hint, hint ) is great for listening to entire albums at a time. However, this looks interesting, and I think I'll give it a try when I have the time to play with it a bit.

 

fair enough im just not a fan of pay software like that...esp for a niche market where theres so many other free solutions...but..ill give it a whirl...

 

Many aren't when you are used to free players. I found the larger my collection gets the more important database management gets to be. This app has great features for such things, like tagging, cover art lookup, organization..playlsting...too many features to list.
I keep my foobar in a similar look also with albums being presented on the screen.

This might not work so well for those getting started that have a load of single track Mp3.

I know media monkey is better, especially for device management like syncing to phones / mp3/flac players but in particular I like the cue system and the ease of which you can see your music and add whole albums. I know every player does this but the way in which it functions makes it much more polished and accessible to plow through many albums and set yourself up with a nice afternoon of choons to play out.

shame it doesn't do external device sync or copy really.

other features that most players are coming with now is android or IOS app remote controls which this also does straight out of the box and looks really good, combined with the easy cue and album approach its great for family to play around without them knackering the pc.

might keep for a bit, its not really better than media center 17 which has many great features (such as 64bit audio path) but its nice for what it does.

 

Once I read "demo, pay for full version" I said... No Thanks.

 

Well you can't have everything out there for free.

 

Well better is a subjective thing as everybody has different wants and need for a player. Works great for what I want and has many features I can't find in another players and I have tested most of them. That being said I use different players though, never just one.

You can use the demo version.

 

To be honest, I get all of that functionality and more with Media Monkey.

 

I tried the Monkye awhile back but I didn't like it.
