most kids without a dad at age 7 dont act anywhere near that. the dad isnt whats needed, whats needed is a wooden board swung by a man with ballz on the boys bare end at regular intervals.....or Dr. Phill, whichever comes first.
In the US you can get arrested for that.... I think its sick, I was spanked as a kid, Im not a mass murderer or anything worse then a pot smoker... Jesus. How are kids like this even still being brought up? What is wrong with society? As for the male adult influence; my father died when I was only 7, and I like to think I turned out pretty well. Never been in trouble with the police, never pummeled anyone, did well in school and looking to Uni in September and the RAF after that. Great social life, work hard at my job and I can't stand things like this. Clearly, a father is not required (not to say I wouldn't want mine back; that would be absurd), so long as the remaining parent holds the correct morals and principles.

im not one to hit kids, hell i was abused to the point of leaving scars with a belt; but i would beat that kid senseless.
i'd consider what he did criminal and if he was my son i know i would regret it (there's always some regret in the end no matter how bad or evil your son may be) but i'd beat him just enough to comprehend what it means to inflict pain onto others and how much it hurts even though i'm quite sure it wouldn't help one bit either.
