Anyone found a way to either unpack or force install of latest Intel Chipset drivers?

Before anyone says, yes I know these are basically just .inf files that more or less do nothing for performance.

What can I say I am a driver whore and want everything to be up to date.

The last Intel chipset drivers that we could unpack are these ones...

    Version 9.4.4.1006 WHQL

I manually installed these drivers through device manager to make sure everything updated correctly.

The driver version installed from these reads 9.4.0.1023 and usb drivers read 9.4.0.1025

The latest Intel Chipset drivers are 10.0.22 WHQL

But intel has encrypted them and when extracting them all you get is a bunch of folders with languages on (ie EN, US, etc) no drivers or .inf files are actually installed.

I tried to force install them using the .exe with the shortcut command -overall and the only thing that updates is the Intel SMBus Controller which reads 10.0.22 but in the box reads "There are no drivers installed for this device" which is a little weird.

Has anyone found a way to unpack these drivers and actually get the files or has someone got a link to download an already extracted version.

    Thanks.

It updated SMbus to 10.0.22 as well, had 10.0.16 before.

Also all others from 9.4.1020 to 9.4.1023 I think, not sure.. But I remember it had older dates before I updated, ~23.5 now 25.7

I used your link 10.0.22 and added -overall to exe shortcut, still not 100% sure if it updated the rest though, wished I played more attention to it :)

What are the driver dates on those 9.4.1023

cause I think they are older than what I have installed from 9.4.4.1006

maybe you could try and download that package as you can unpack them and manually install them through device manager like I did.

My driver dates for 9.4.4.1006 it installs drivers dated back in 2013. Not sure of exact date as I am on work computer at the moment.

Yes all were from 25.7.2013, I think earlier was ~ 23.5.2013 (I think..), expect SMbus and IMEI.

About USB hm idk, all are Microsoft, most from 6.10.2014 e.g. main Intel usb 3.0 eXtensible host controller (microsoft) or 7.10.2014 USB Root Hub (xHCI).

only usb ehci is from 21.6.2006

I tried that what Agent-A01 said and it extracted but not like usually (only few INF files), but didnt update anything, -overall already did what it did.

I know its an old thread but the above describes me and the thread is relative to what I want to find out.

Yesterday I was searching the net for any new Intel chipset drivers, and I found that :
    http://www.station-drivers.com/inde...tory&Itemid=352&func=fileinfo&id=3337&lang=fr

I unpacked the file and the I executed the DPInst64.exe

As a result system devices under device manager were updated to version 10.1.1.44 and for the first time the driver date was actual(before I had something like 1970) and my chipset was mentioned with its name(Z270).
    Exactly like these screenshots :
    http://www.station-drivers.com/inde...opic&catid=4&id=2675&Itemid=255&lang=fr#16138

Everything seems to be working as it should, but I have a strange finding under the apps tab of windows 10 :

You cant se the whole list(wich is enormous with 40 entries!!!) in the screenshot.

    And my question is :

What is this thing that I installed ?

Do you see these packages in old "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features"?

Then you can go to registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" and see more detailed info in subkeys.

These are required if the system doesn't recognise the device. There's no payload and for basically all of the inf's it literally will just change the date and version stamp in device manager.
