used to go to trails, but nowadays just cycle in the park with my wife and son
Avid mountain biker here... like I bought my house for its connection to a large trail system. We're still digging out from the snow and facing a lot of trail maintenance this season, but I've hit a couple rides at lower elevations to stretch things back out a bit.
I have an electric scooter...
I cycle quite a bit. I have one mountain bike, one road bike and two triathlon bikes.
My cycle is the happy shopper type with the wicker basket on the back.
Have to be carful getting out of the seat to go faster some times misses a gear and I end up crushing my bits on the cross bar.
This can be very bad for the over 50's blokes as it can cause some thing called pyronines disease.
Which is not a disease but a affliction and best avoided.
I've yet to hop on mine that i got in beginning of Dec through the work.
Really no excuse now as i'm currently not working, just that i've a very demanding doggo with endless energy and i spend all my time with him.
I really enjoyed upgrading it tho (replacing the quick releases with security ones, getting good quality locks etc.) and for sure will be out on it one of these days.
I do like to keep fit, my old job was very physical and my new one i'm due to start not so much so for sure will be out on it soon.✌️
Best of luck with your new job!
I try to go as often as possible, but because of work, I don't always manage to
I just bought me and the wife 2 E-bikes, cool stuff if you go straight electric they go 28 mph.... cruzin'. Not the cheapest way to ride ..lol but there lots of fun.
LMAO, check out this bike and will do 70mph. Ya not really a bike but electric cycle but still would be total blast on the trails. https://solarscooters.com/products/e-clipse
I picked up 2 of these ...
Cycle and motorbikes!
Hey!! Those are cheating!! ^^
Twice the fun tho i'll bet, and they get you out and about without the need for a certain level of fitness, tho of course you can still get your exercise in if you wish. Just sayin.
They are made so you can do 3 modes, you can shut down the electric and pedal or use all electric or the hybrid pedal with electric support so you don't have to use electric all the time but doing trails with all electric is a blast they do 28 mph so you can still kill yourself ...lmao.
Weather permitting, I ride about 120 miles a week if I can. In sprints I can come close to 28 mph, depends in the wind. I do compete in sports, so training has a lot to do with it. I do enjoy riding though.
