There is no more Silk Road, the FBI shut it down last year.

And a thousand sites took its place.

    edit

No not really a "thousand", but there are plenty of sites that have taken off with their old traffic. The original Silk Road was so embarrassingly well known it was amazing it wasn't shut down sooner.

So have you made any ACTUAL money off this, or has it just cost you a small fortune in electricity?

Ive made about $250 from dogecoin and $200 from feathercoin. Im not in it to get rich quick. And if it all crashes and the coins are worthless then i still have two pretty good gaming pc's that i can sell or keep. It cost me about $1.80 a day to run these machines and free on weekends(my plan gives me free power on weekends)
With it being the most profitable why not? It also has a pretty good community.

So, it costs you $1.80 a day to run the mining machine... There are 252 working days in a year... so it costs you $453.60 to run the machine, and you've made $450.

    I don't get it.

So Coinye received a cease and desist letter from Kanye and Attorney. They changed the logo to a half man half fish hybrid and sent a letter back.

The article can be found here
    http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...ye-west-with-its-own-cease-and-desist-letter/

I don't think this will end well for them but its funny

I've been dabbling in mining the last few weeks, haven't actually cashed anything out, still learning. I've got about 34K Doge which isn't really much at all, about 250K in Coinya (kanye ones) coins and 1.5Million Nutcoins, hoping NUT really takes off lol

Thats a very good return! seen someone on Ebay selling a million coinye for £250, probably take me about 5 days with only my one 7970 atm, going to get my 2nd one in soon hopefully, perhaps I'll stick with coinye for a while.

Take it your still mining coinye then?

Yeah Nut is new I believe, perhaps a week or so, thought I'd get in on the ground floor so I could mine a boat load, hoping after the market has finished pumping and dumping coinye it'll take off. Who knows.

gone back to doge....may bother with coinye in future, if some exchanges pick it up

as it stands coinye is what you call pump an dump...people make out its best thing slice bread rising prices, then selling when it's all pumped up turning to dump it all quick as possible

Spent around 18hrs mining coinye last night through to today and only got 21K! Don't know what that was about, so I've messaged them.

Also I've just listed 100000 Nut Coins for £250 on the bay lol I saw someone listed 1000 coins for £2.50 so I figured 10K would go for £25 and 100K should go for £250, perhaps I should list my Million for £2500 lol I doubt they'll sell, the 100K that is lol
