I bought a couple 2tb Nvme about a year ago due to the same rumour going on now that prices will increase. They didnt.

We're no longer in a pandemic lockdown mate. And the crypto boom is over. They're digging their own grave.

They did in the USA, big time. My 4tb nvme drive is now $230 vs the $150 I paid in October, for example. Deal prices are way up in general on them.

Seems that @chispy was right all along, he warned us about price increase.
Bought some storage at his suggestion, seemed that I bought too much, now I am sorry that I hadn't bought even more.

I said a year ago. Prices didnt go up but went down in the following months as you so show. So anyone buying a year ago lost out on declining prices over the following months.

The one I bought in January (Samsung 990 Pro 4TB) still costs the same, at least until now.

I've read this same thing for like a year now, fell into a QLC price trap in January, same drive is $30 less now.

    That's exactly right,

Too bad we also have a process called monetary debasement going completely against this

But they did compared to half a year ago. Bought a 1TB nvme in October 2023 for 45€. Now it's 80€. And it's not limited to this specific model. All SSDs have seen a price hike of anywhere between 50% and 90% since then.

Apparently you bought yours right before the prices fell.
