I'm glad someone else knows this is an issue. Do you know how to accomplish fully disabling FSO with the registry? GameDVR_FSEBehavior, app compatibility flags, etc... have all failed for me on 22H2. I cannot observe traditional alt+tab behavior in any DirectX games including both Apex and CSGO. Using the well known settings, I can get volume controls to hide but I have no doubt that DWM is still active and screwing with the game, because I can refocus a "fullscreen exclusive" application which is running at a different resolution instantaneously. The usual registry edit that hides the volume controls does the trick for me. If that fix is 100% I dont know but I see a considerably increase in 1% and 0.1%, avg fps are mostly the same. You can even delete the xbox app afterwards, but I dont do that.
Otherwise my windows installation is not modified in any way, I do use the LTSC version though.
