my suggestion would be to use Atiman Uninstaller v.8.3.6 to properly remove the amd drivers. then use Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in safe mode to fully clean out the old drivers.

they can be found here: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
    and here:
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/h88tbxcpp5cjpmq/Atiman+Uninstaller+v.8.3.6_mantle.msi

you could also try http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx amds utility....i havent used it yet but im having great results using a combination of atiman and ddu before loading new driver on

im having great results with http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/amd_catalyst_14_2_beta.html

were both using win 8.1 64bit and were both using ati cards so hopefully it works out well for you....I think there was one occasion were i was getting the crashes you described but i have not had it reoccurred since using this method on mine

After doing these suggestions and still having issues you should look into your bios settings and or things like faulty ram...I can only assume you not overclocking your cpu or ram but if you were definitely put it back to stock settings until you get the issues sorted out.

Will get your pc running correctly don't worry...i been doing this a very long time:) but in the mean time please make a very detailed list of all the components used in your pc similar to this:

Asus P6T Delux v1 Antec Nine Hundred
    Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme
Intel Xeon L5639 Hexa core @ 4GHZ turbo
    Thermaltake Black Widow 850
    TV tuner M780 / Rocketfish 2-Port USB 3.0
    12gb Patriot ddr3 1600 / LG blueray combo
    XFX Radeon HD 7970 / Acer S275HL
    Samsung - 840 EVO 250GB / (2)WD RE3 (raid0)
    Creative Sound Blaster Z - M-Audio AV 40 / Audio-Technica ATH-M50
    Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64bit

the more information you provide the easier it is for people to help:banana:
Also don't forget to check the event viewer and see what it says in regards to the crash...It probably will mention something with amd drivers, but we won't know unless you check
