    Hey Gurus

Having some weird issues with my Xperia XA1 - on latest Android they officially released for it (8???). Basically I keep running out of storage without reallly downloading anything. Seems to be an issue with app caches where I have to manually purge it in settings, freed up about 3 GB (of 32 GB internal) doing that. Any way to automate?

No way to automate. If your on 8, you could always root. What is the name of the app in question?

I had considered that, the hardware's not that out of date.

It's a bunch of apps, chrome, maps, facebook, IG, etc.

If you've just updated to 8 I would personally factory reset/clean install. Any bugs or problems should disappear then. It's always a good idea to do so when updating. You should be able to backup texts, and settings before hand.
