DXNavi is a new DirectX Optimization that designed for Navi 2X GPUs, released since AMD published Drivers Preview 22.10 on May

Thanks for the reply! Is it a specific Kernel or is it an API? Thanks again!

Hi, ask again. For the 22.10 , it is still working for amd link on GCN card? Installed amd link from Playstore (the new one, not for win 7) and error on game tab " there is no record and stream installed on your radeon software". I check on radeon software relive or record and stream is not available. Using amd software creation mode. Is that correct? Or i need another dependency?

DXNavi only applies for Navi 2X GPU, otherwise it's in Experimental Features.

Seems like your friend wanna get DirectX benefits without knowing the risks :)

Also, Experimental DXNavi is not set as default for our drivers, you can use Regular DX if you prefer stability and avoid bugs for Polaris-Vega cards

Not really. I am also using old official driver 22.6.1 (27.20.20912.1002) on HD7870
    because Amernime 22.10.1 uses 27.20.15030.19

DriverVersion which you can see on Device Manager are Kernel Version, rest of package are mixed use. Like aticfx from 22.10.1, opencl from WU 20.50, directx 12 from UWP 30x, etc. Use aida64 or dxdiag txt result for more information.

    Hi,

    With a R9 290X, I just installed V7-22.10.1-GCN-UMD-WHQL-Nemesis-NimeZ-DCH + ccc2_install_v3.5.exe.

    upload_2022-10-20_2-48-28.png

I had to do the WHQL thing manually in the advanced mode, as it was not done in the simple one as before.

But when I launch AMD Settings:

(English: driver version and Radeon Software version don't match)

    What's the problem?

I highly recommend everyone with an old pre polaris gpu to use the amd 20.10.1 drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-10-1

    Why?
I have a very low spec mobile gpu m230 which gives 30 frames in most of the games i play, so naturally i want to get the most out of my gpu because for me every frame matters, i tried out many driver releases and this one is the best, first in all the official amd driver releases after this one the fps dropped in opengl games from 30 frames to around 28 which aint that big of a deal but it is for me and the modded drivers didn't improve that, but what they did and why i commend and like the modding community is after the driver 21.3.1 amd in all their braindead glory for some kind of reason don't allow overclocking like fully, not even with afterburner everytime i change it from 850mhz to 950mhz it resets which it never ever used to do prior to the 21.3.1 driver and the modded drivers actually allow overclocking on even the newest 22.10.1 drivers, second when i read an article that the driver 22.7.1 driver massivly improves the fps in opengl games i got excited, but unfortunately it only seems to be improved on newest gpus from amd so sadge.

But if your gonna play the newest games like overwatch 1.5 download the newest drivers cause there are gonna be optimizations, crash fixes, etc...

Also i like the feature of this modded driver where it enables the radeon relive and recording in amd software if you select switchable gpus option, but it fully disables the low power state of my amd gpu(when my amd gpu isn't getting used it turns off and only uses my intel igpu) which drains my battery it goes from working on battery for about 3 hours idle to like 50 mins so no, on laptops i would highly reccomend not installing modded drivers with the switchable gpu option just select normal installation.

Thanks for reading my essay and to the modding team.

I think you don't know that GPU deep sleep feature is not same as ULPS :)

GPU deep sleep enabled may cause random bsod for switchable gpu in muxless notebooks, I don't see good benefits to enable it for improving battery life, except the stability becomes worse.

Tho, for AMD iGPU + dGPU, I still recommend it because you won't and never see Split-Kernel feature exists in AMD Official Drivers - It lets you to use different arch of iGPU and dGPU (like Kaveri APU with Polaris dGPU, or Vega APU with Legacy GCN dGPU)

You may need to reconsider about what makes you not recommend this thing, especially when it comes to stability

You don't need WHQL parser in 22.10.1 gcn, since it uses new technology called Organic WHQL. Even without whql present on dxdiag, you can still play the drm based games normally without warning
To workaround with radeon software, try repairing the UI from the NzCliMenu, then in toolkit menu, find section that named "Auto Repair"

    Thanks.
"repairing the UI from the NzCliMenu" => ok, seems to work, waiting for the very long rebuild of gmdb.blb...
"then in toolkit menu, find section that named "Auto Repair"" => not found, but is it necessary?
