nimez my rezisable bar problem on dx12 and vulkan games. low fps.12 13fps.no problem direcx 11 games. driver version Adrenalin-21.Q4-Upd5.0-LTS. how to fix

 

Use latest version GCN 22.1.2 and choose GCN 1.0 kernel

 

I would not count too much on SAM, especially considering AMD never officially supported that (and fixed that ) for older GCN GPUs.. especially without 6-8GB or more VRAM. Trying to use it made me photoshop crashing even on rendering an empty doc.

 

As a matter of fact I actually didn't do either of them (I saw K-lite codec was optional so didn't bother with it). The same thing happened before with 21.12.1 driver as well. That time it happened when I was on a zoom meeting.

 

Then you need to install K-Lite Codec, since these modded drivers disable MS Codecs because that codecs give a lot of trouble when using video for general purposes (green video, glitched video, inverted video color - these bugs exist when playback/stream video in all platforms)

Mine ever had this problem in iGPU Vega 11, after using modded drivers combined with K-Lite Codec Mega + H265 Extension, everything works normally

and for Zoom, make sure you're using directshow D3D11/D3D9 renderer (for old GPU)

hey, I installed these drivers, during the installation process, it asked me if I wanted to disable automatic driver updates, I said yes. I've decided to go back to the official AMD drivers, how to I reenable automatic updates (Win 11)? Thanks.

 

So I have installed ( 22.1.1 V4 ) Adrenalin Polaris/Vega/Navi Relive DCH (Mantle Emu) and it works perfectly. SAM works and all my settings were imported over properly etc. However, can someone explain what Mantle Emu is? Would this allow me to play BF4 with the Mantle API instead?

What's the point? This should get benefit than problem. Windows update are still enabled, only automatic updates amd gpu driver from WU are disabled.
And for old GCN 1-3 after AMD 21.3.2 are terrible driver's, it's like when HD 5000 and 6000 era's when they nerfing some lack of features on Crimson 15.11 to 16.2.1

 

Automatic Updates include windows update and drivers.

I don't recommend to enable these update, especially drivers when you're using modded drivers, because it has big chance to ruin your modded drivers

 

hi guys, is it possible to get vulkan 1.3 on GCN3 GPUs (like R9 285)? Due to inflated GPU prices this old boy needs to provide a few more years of service..

 

Vulkan 1.3 features are provided through feature extensions on vulkan 1.2 so it shouldn't be an issue, but I'm not really qualified to say for sure.
