Being back on AMD is there a way to install the drivers without their garbage bloatware suite?

On my Nvidia system I have the option of not installing their garbage bloatware and don't.

Yes I can probably just install the drivers through Windows (have disk), but I can't find the option when installing drivers threw the driver package to not install the bloatware or at least chose what I do or don't want installed.

use 7 zip to extract the driver from the adrenaline package.

Yes that I know I can do.

But while I hate the overall bloatware package I still wouldn't mind install the game profiles part of it, the rest I can do without.

There's a Radeon Settings Lite version as part of the DCH (Windows10 / UWP / Windows 10 Store and what else to call it.) which is very slimmed down but I don't know if this Adrenaline 2020 package (Which feels sorta rushed.) has a trimmed version available yet.

It's basically that or installing just the driver component without the Radeon Settings component which is a mess of different plugins and components that (really.) should have been more optional hah well that's unlikely to change but hopefully the Lite version will be provided whenever there's a new update for the Windows 10 Store for AMD's DCH type driver. (The U *.inf file instead of the C *.inf which well I call it Classic and UWP but it probably means something entirely different.)

And without Radeon Settings it's either registry edits or third party tools though in all honesty with the regressions (The black screen issue returned that's wonderful.) and problems perhaps just stick with 19.12.1 unless you *really* need some specific feature in Adrenaline 2020 (19.12.3) because it's probably the best option until a more fixed driver is released whenever that will be. (Not that I expect the control panel to suddenly just change or become modular though.)

EDIT: And yeah Lite really should be a addition for the driver software allowing users at least a choice for the basics and the everything when installing this. :D
(But then as another weird thing Adrenaline 2020 just outright removes the additional install options entirely.)

after clean install just remove mark from "launch radeon settings" then you should delete C:\Program Files\AMD\cNext folder. Enjoy

If you disable everything except system tray icon, is feather weight, I dare say it is not giving the feeling of bloatware at all to me, super fast.

IMhO it's not a big problem, RAM Usage is better than with 2019 suite ;)
Razor is most RAM eater for my system from A to X....
Razer, Roccat and ATI.... OLD CCC is small in size (good for Gamma switching & FRT)

Just Turn OFF all notifications, OSD, ReliVe & Advisor.
This new suite is really something IMO, light weight & usefull.

don't use the task list to demonstrate ram usage, use the details list and turn on the commit, private set and working set fields

It's kinda frustrating btw if you're just downloading drivers with 1mb/s and driver packages getting bigger and bigger . like nearly 500mb now .. wtf?

    Still no biggie IMO.

Also simple way to just install driver is through Device Manager & point out .ini :)
    Then You'll have only Driver.

They should give us an option for a lite version
Just the driver with the Basic Settings.

If you use Windows 10, just never install drivers delivered from amd .com.

Use windows version plus microsoft store version of radeon settings (lite).

If you use OS older than W-10, I could understand somehow the situation.

AMD is classically bad - for particular use cases, opengl and MT DX.

You're just the classic AMD does no wrong fanboy

removing the radeon settings folder/installer after unpacking the downloaded package should also work.

Inside of Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B349895 there is ccc2_install.exe
Delete that, and install the drivers via Device Manager.
That should not install any panel/osd/etc

After that, if you extract ccc2_install.exe (You'll need to use an NSIS extractor for that)
You can install CCCSlim from inside it and that should leave you only with Radeon Settings.
