Just got some in and the price is frickin amazing. I forgot the model number but its 2.8Ghz, 9MB cache, 6 core Phenom for $204. No word on the release date, but Fry's has them. **model number is 1055T
Unfortunetly we arent allowed to have cell phones in the back anymore so I cant take any pics. All I can describe is a purple box, so Im assuming the multiplier is locked.
Thats weird, price is great though. They are probably going to be closer to release once you have all of them... I thought they where going to release a 2.6Ghz, 2.8Ghz, and 3.2-3.4Ghz all at the same time? the 3.2-3.4 will definitely be the black edition.
I dont see the point in 6 cores from a gaming view, hardly any games use 4 cores let alone 6, for folding an video encoding/de-coding it would be useful tho.
shoot, Im already home heh. I couldnt find it on the website Frys website is pretty bad anyhow. looking around the net to see if they are available anywhere else and its not out yet, but you can preorder from Frys. Its pretty much the same thing we did for the i7 980X the first day of its release. http://www.legitreviews.com/news/7745/ Some benchies are already leaked on chinese websites. In short the 1055T is roughly a i7 920/930 for $200. Not bad though.
Fry's warehouse received them on 4/2,i called and they did confirm they have them. Dont think they r allowed to sell them til the release date.
Yeah I checked in the system and they have the 1055T and the 1095T as well. But none of the stores around here show they have them yet.
I saw on wiki that its going to be released April 26 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_future_AMD_microprocessors#.22Thuban.22_.2845_nm.2C_Six-core.29 Hilbert can you confirm this?
