AMD's Ryzen 7000 CPUs are to be unveiled at the end of this month. On August 30, the firm will have a live-streamed event that may be seen online. The official launch of Ryzen 7000 is predicted for t... AMD Will Announce New Ryzen Processors during August 29 Livestream Event
Can't wait ! The relentless progress of technology is amazing ! Personally, I'll probably ignore this new generation as I currently rock a Zen 3 5800X and that's more than enough for a few years, but that doesn't mean I can't get enthusiastic about what's going to offer.
Yes! I'm back and forth between the 13900k and the 7950x. I am so ready to see what AMD has in store. The 5000 series Ryzens definitely made an impact and took names! So excited and ready to move up! The 13900K is the last hoorah until Intel's next set of new tech. Zen 4 is upgradable from what I'm reading. That sounds pretty awesome!
Same! Going to be interesting to see what we'll be getting, but I won't be upgrading for quite a while.
i've been frugal this summer and won't take a vacation - just so i can buy Zen 4 & mobo i won't be buying an X 670-E board ($$$)...
If the base clock on the 7950X is really 4.5Ghz that is a 25% increase over the 3.4Ghz base clock on the 5950x. While IPC might not see a large increase all-around performance is going to be better than AMD let on.
exactly plus on the HW rumor side (again rumor) apparently they've found a fix for heat conductivity for the 3D cache models. that alone would spell an upgrade for a 5800X3D owner who wants to OC. and (according to rumor) they will have a 7950X3D, 7900X3D, and 7800X3D with this improved process.
they been delay untill 27sept becaujse of bios prob which happens to be same day as intel announcement lol
I am exactly in the same boat honestly I do not see my self updating my CPU before 2026 .... except if something groundbreaking happen !
I heard that as well about the 3D stacking. I assume it's true since that would be something TSMC would be working to resolve.
did AMD drown your kittens? you act quite like you have a personal problem with anything that's not Intel/Nvidia these are not sports teams, they could care less how stoked you are about a competitive product. at the end of the day technology marches on and if you're hobbled (like some companies) it will march on without you. i loved my Sega 32 bit console. it was the very first and arguably the best - but that didn't stop Sony PS and i lost zero tears over Sega
stop making it about me and amd maybe, cause that's a convenient way to avoid responding to your comments. selling 5800x3d cpu because of heat is ridiculous. sometimes I wonder if you get paid to convince people to buy newest amd stuff. cause if you don't, you should. i'm sure if 7800x3d delivers, and it will, they'll upgrade for performance.
i am not making anything like anything. you called my comments "convenient" when i was discussing the issue of thermal throttling with someone else. i stand by everything i say, and unlike some of what you have to say i use sense and logic and make a complete sentence. YOU extrapolate beyond my meaning and beyond the context in which something is said so yes, you do have an issue. and so what if i like something new and shiny? i'm a geek and this is a tech forum
