First AMD PRO driver on the 23.30 (AFMF Preview) branch. The PRO 23Q3.1 was still on the 23.10 driver branch (prior to 23.9.1 for AMD Radeon™ RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT)

 

@The Creator are you able to add the PCI IDs of different graphics cards to the inf like you usually do to device-specific drivers?

I have modified the pro driver as an Adrenalin for non-pro video cards. As a base, I used all supported cards by the last AFMF driver.

The driver supports HAGS and WDDM 3.2 (on Win11 Canary builds). The driver is WHQL.

NOTE: The driver doesn't support AFMF and ReLive doesn't support higher FPS (90 and 120) for recording as AFMF drivers do.

For installation, please use the InstallScript.cmd script.




After de-installation of the driver and cleaning the system with AMDCleanupUtility.exe, just the "msftwhql.inf" driver should be uninstalled manually (via DeviceManager or DriverStoreExplorer):

 

Nice analyze , probably official non-pro 23.30 branch will receive HAGS too for navi31

Edit : you can probably update your vbios , ask to powercolor support.

 

So we have to choose between HAGS and AFMF? Can we somehow get both?

Have they fixed some issues with a new BIOS (I have no problems)? On the PowerColor site, I can't find any BIOS-es for download for my card.

You need create ticket to Powercolor support and ask official file.

You can flash after with AMDvbflash 5.0.567.

I personally updated from VER022.001.002.009.000001 to VER022.001.002.024.000001 with my merc310, XFX provide me the file.

No specific changelog, probably some bug fixes and optimization.

But I have 7900XT, not XTX.

I don't want to download Fortnite to check if it will work. But I do the same trick as before for some of the old drivers, so I think this driver should work too.

The driver is WHQL but because I have modified the .inf file, I have to restore/emulate the original signature to pass the WHQL check.

It looks like a real BIOS. I compared it with my current one:



My card has 2 BIOS-es that I can switch. Is it safe enough to try to flash this new BIOS and if it doesn't work properly to flash the old one back?

The last card that I used to flash a BIOS was my old 290X.

 

I just updated my vbios with the new version. The flashing finished successfully. But after the reboot, GPUz still reports the old version number. At the same time, GPU-Shark reports the new version:



Do I miss something? I tried to reinstall the GPUz but no change.

 

Dump the VBIOS from the card and compare hashes with the file you flashed it with. If it's the same, then, it's using the new VBIOS.

 

HAGS for this driver is RDNA 3-specific; I don't have it either on my Navi 21

 

It was still the old vbios there. Then I tried to flash it again. But this time after the flash, I first rebooted before uninstalling the bios flash driver. And the result:


(new bios version reported)

The first time I uninstalled the driver immediately after the flash before the reboot. It looks like the real flashing is postponed for the reboot process thanks to the flash driver.

I am trying to flash a newer BIOS too for my card, but, SSID for some reason is different, thus, I can't flash it :/
