AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.9.1 - Driver download and discussion

Upgraded from 22.8.2
No clean install or anything. Sould have cropped more of the installer. Sorry.

 

It looks like just the OpenGL module from 22.9.1 is newer than the other one from UWP (22.08.220823_1f70af4 vs 22.09.1462311).

I wonder if the Enhanced Sync is already fixed in the newer UWP driver as well or not. I don't know how to test it. I have never noticed any problems with it on my system.

 

No problem, thanks. I had issues with certain emulators using OpenGL with the previous drivers. Which is why i use older drivers for the moment. I will install them later myself and do some testing as well.

 

I run specviewperf 2020 to compare the differences between Adrenalin 22.8.2 and Adrenalin 22.9.1.

Looks like Adrenalin 22.8.2 is better (for PPro).

 

had drivers crash and recovered when playing Heroes of the Storm Windowed mode with just Enhanced Vsync enabled and Optimized Windowed mode On it was crashing because ALT + TAB couple of times and changing from Windowed to Full-screen Windowed.. so they didn't fix anything

 

I just tested them, these drivers are no different in performance ( seems to a bit worse ) than the previous drivers, also in OPENGL, I'm starting to wonder if AMD is just adding higher numbers and not updating their opengl performance lol. "Hey why not just add a different number to fool everyone and keep the performance the same". Same performance issues using certain emulators. Same damn driver IMO.

Oh well, back to the older drivers. On another note, a new Enterprise driver is coming before the end of the month i was told by the Radeon Pro team a few days ago. They probably be the same driver set as 22.8.2 or something, but who knows.

 

Also on 31.0.12027.2005, so I guess 22.9.1 is a downgrade. I'll play with Enhanced Sync another time.

 

Do these work with the latest 6800U processors?

 

Horizon Zero Dawn with ReBar enabled was crippled on 22.8.2. Let's see if it's fixed now.

Event Viewer always reports a lot AMD_ANR_BG_PROC event id 2...

 

yea maybe someone need to send them a message on reddit, i think the devs seem to post there more than any other forum. All they're doing is changing the numbers lol without adding any new stuff added to opengl.


Just use the older drivers until something new shows up. I'm using enterprise 21.q3 or 21.10.2 which are the two best drivers for my 6600 pro card.

 

Seems that globally disabling VSync overrides DWM too, leading to a lot of issues. You should avoid doing this.

 

It is Amd Noisesupression who in your case (Hardware Combination) has some problems ..
ANR is the folder in C: \ Windows \ System32 \ AMD \ ANR
If you can open in Ticket Report Bug to AMD
Do not be alarmed by anything to worry about

If you wanna play WD2 then install 22.5.1. Since 22.5.2 game was crashing for me every 5-10 minutes.
