    I do some music and video production. The only games I really play probably wouldn't be limited much by a lower clocked AMD cpu.
    One of these might be right up my alley.

    Once again we get hideously ripped off here in New Zealand the Threadripper 1920X = $1,349.00 or the 1950X which is whopping $1,669.00 add to that $1,179.00 for the Asus ROG ZENITH EXTREME X399 and not to mention DDR4 $469.00 for a quad Chanel kit of 32GB and you can see that it's getting really expensive really quick

    Assuming those prices are in NZD and not USD, that is pretty high. You're paying roughly $600 USD extra. It might be cheaper for you to buy these parts from an Australian or Japanese friend, maybe even an American.

    How much would an Intel system cost?
