All well and good using such software they push you to try it with all the adds they throw at us. And in the mean time you void your warranty. That dont seem right to me.
Ryzen Master software has been updated for 2nd Gen Ryzen™ Threadripper processors only (2990WX, 2970WX, 2950, 2920) AMD download location for Version 1.5.0.0728 located here: https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master << Download is available at the bottom of the page >>
Does this apply manual overclocking after system restart/shutdown/sleep ? I don't see the point for using it if I have to reapply OC every time. I wanted to use it because my manual OC from bios keeps the voltage constant (even with CnC enabled .. clocks go down but voltage doesn't)... I've read about power gating on Ryzen maybe it works and I'm only crazy about this issue.
and it still does not work with SMT / Hyper-V enabled too bad intel extreme tuning utility does not work with AMD Systems
Hi, the download links aren't working for me, but the bigger problem is that when i download ryzen master from the official site, it says successfully installed but actually nothing has installed and i have been googling the past few days and couldn't find a solution, if anyone can help i will really appreciate it
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-ryzen-master-2-6-0-1692 I'd probably go with bios tuning but well there it is support for the 5000 series Zen3 CPU models. EDIT: Also pointing out how the 2.3.x stuff is fixed or supported is nice but since release notes only link to the latest that's a bit vague you can't really get a overview of what those are. Since this. https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master Just links to the above release notes. Well just a minor nitpick not like it's any different with the GPU driver situation and entries. (Bit easier to just month, year, date and change the numbers though to see earlier entries.) EDIT: Actually software monitoring is probably real handy whether from this or tools like HWInfo knowing how the CPU and motherboard is utilizing the set values and scaling and all that for temps, voltage, clock speeds and more. CPU-Z and HWInfo are probably up to date if it's anything like GPU-Z so either or should be solid for a overview of these things. And then dialing in the proper stuff into bios instead of hoping for a software override and associated problems. Granted that's me comparing on how it goes with Wattman or doesn't go since it has it's quirks so yeah maybe it's different here with this Master tool ha ha! (Might have additional safeties if nothing else, software crash or reboot at worst no permanent degradation or risk of damage as a plus.)
I swaped CPU from 3300X to 5600X , now ryzen master does't works , tried to reinstall but after extraction nothing happens . Anyone has an idea ? ( i tried administrator etc ).
It should work but if you're on a motherboard using it the newer 1.1.8.0 AGESA code isn't entirely bug free and Ryzen Master doesn't currently get all values either that's getting fixed for a future version. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/jq39h7/ryzen_5600x_ryzen_master_bug_temperature_clock/ And from AMD:
Sounds like the installer runs into the same thing AMD's chipset drivers used to have problems with but it's hard to say without something to go on for where it fails in this and as to why it fails. Might be a log file in the AMD folder where it extracts to or the system temp folder but the regular is to first uninstall the prior version and then install the newest. Chipset driver issues were for what I noticed related to packaging where a few components had their folders renamed or switched around which shouldn't be the case here though and if it's digitally signed AMD's installer shouldn't hit issues with Windows and Windows Defender at least. (Well they should be less prone to do so at least.)
Anyone know about X470 motherboard compatibility? Since amd states that: Minimum System Configuration 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors on an X570 motherboard. Edit: Even with that strange statement installed the latest version and have been using it for a couple of hours now. Also tried with a game as well to be sure. No problems so far on Asus ROG X470-F Gaming.
hi, why is the download link redirect to AMD website? the thing is. the download speed from AMD website is very abysmal right now. it even drop to 0 KB/s right now. meaning no download progress... i thought i could use the file provided by guru3d. but since it redirects to AMD site. that means i can't download this file at all...
This does not appear to support 3000 series Threadripper PRO processors on the WRX80 socket. Weird that it supports the 5000 series on the same socket.
