I don't know if this is normal, but price looks terrific.

    Indeed, Denmark follows suit.
    1800X Price at Komplett.dk: 2490 DKr = 334,63 Euro :)
Was/is listed for 436,64 Euro at pricerunner shops still...suspect it'll change soon.

Well, it's Black Friday week, isn't a lot of stuff heavily discounted this week? My brother just got himself an iPad Pro with 25% discount. I expect to replace my storage HD for some nice, fast, SSD :D

Wow! that's great value. I wonder if Intel will respond to this.

    I'd very much doubt it.

The real question is, whether the prices stay after the black friday deals end. If they do, I'd say we are getting an early refresh.

So, now from a CPU-MB-RAM combo, the less expensive piece of hardware is the first... What about DDR4 prices drop? :(

Black friday prices, I guess? Or week? Komplett is having 10-18% sales on Ryzen CPUs...

RAM is absurd though... 16gb RAM costs more than the Ryzen 5 1600X atm... And you can easily find other kits that are more expensive.

I would look at upgrading now, but RAM is just too expensive for it to make sense.

    I can get a 1700x for 269+like 10-15shipping new!! WOW!

So tempted to cancel my 2 orders of 8600k(€300) and 8700k(€430).

Not saying this to start anything. It's just a personal opinion/situation.

    Can't beat price wise a 1700x@€269!

What's your thoughts guys? My cooling setup would go to waste(D5+480mm+240mm) but wth.. :p

Well, it's certainly way better value for certain tasks and everyday life. Gaming it's also fine, if you're not one of the people who are so in to running a 144hz that nothing less than a 5.5ghz intel CPU will help you out.

And the cooling will just be completely silent if you got something big to handle the intel heaters.

At any rate ... depends entirely on what you need it for.

As a Ryzen user (since it launched), i can say that these are best CPU deals i have seen in a very long time. As a 1440p gamer i can say that the performance (in my case r5 1600x) is superb. Plus video encoding and all other tasks that take advantage of having more core. Though i should have bought the non-x version as it is a better value for money and has minimum to no difference in performance. Looking at the price drops 1700(x) is probably the best deal on the market, unless you are on a really tight budget.
If the prices stay like this though, we could be seeing a refresh, but i personally doubt that.

The buzz is Intel is about to deliver massive backordered 8700k cpu's to their customers. And since the release of the series, AMD sales have been anemic. As others have stated AMD is cleaning out their inventory of first generation Ryzen/TR. In preparation of starting info campaign on second generation Ryzen. AMD is notorious for being slow on the draw on product delivery. Looks like they have their ducks in a row for this series coming up reportedly first Quarter of 2018. With Intel pulling a rabbit out of their ass with the 8th gen, AMD is spinning up a little earlier and good for us.

I would be happy to upgrade to Ryzen 2 if it comes with sufficient single core/thread performance.
