I think you were actually comparing to my old benchmark there... I have done another today with proper settings.... the previous single benchmark I had done was wrong... it only had the RAM at 2400MHz (reset to that after boot failure during tuning). Should have been at normal running speed of 3400CL14, and I turned on the AutoOC mode of Ryzen.

As you can see https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/compare/4275707?baseline=4282060 the new comparison is slightly better.

My new single core score is 1305

Still only using stock single fan AMD wraith cooler there though, but didn't see temps rise even over 75C during run.

Once more, my eyes get the challenge of rolling back 360 degrees. Will they make it to the front again? Who knows.

Ran this benchmark just to compare:
    10 core 10900k @ "stock" 5ghz

Edit: Geekbench say max 5.1ghz on my cpu, but running 5ghz. Looks like Geekbench is epic fail... Impossible to trust any numbers from here, it looks like.

i use Cubase (with lots of plugins) (ryzen 3950x) and i use all of my cores most of the time. i get 100% scaling with db poweramp and cinebench (which doesn't scale as well) does great...keeping me from using a render farm (with Theadripper).
VM's have hit the Golden Age, as you can run a dozen (or more) and still game.

All this sounds like professional stuff. You a musician ? Get paid for that stuff ? Well then good for you, enjoy your gazillion cores !

    The rest of us... well...
Good thing that stuff like 3600 or 5600 (future?) still exists and is cheap enough.

I think you meant to say "leaks" are being rolled out.

I find too much difference for 2 cores else... Quad channel also helps in my case.

I agree. I bet many of us would buy a Ryzen 7 5850X that has the same base clock of 3.8 Ghz or maybe upped a hair along with the boost set at 4.9 or 5.0 Ghz.
