the nicer asus/asrocks still have some of the best vrms (at least for the past ryzen boards, and never had any issues with support on either, even when the warranty was over and they still offered to pay shipping, and even fixed a board i broke (oc with cheap psu) but that was like 10y ago.

but yeah, i wont get gigabyte or msi either, as most of the time asus/asrock usually offer boards one step up (model wise) at same price point.

Can't really think of a good reason why the numeral "9" on the Vietnamese and Turkish 3800X box-art should be different from one another, and neither example looks to be, in my estimation, using the official "Zen" font. (If there is such a thing.)

So much fun and giggles before releasing new hardware. The hype, the leaks, the forums wars, as if they will change anything. The next gen will be what it will be, so let's wait and see.

I'm thinking that if the 3000 chips could actually get anywhere near 5 ghz AMD would not be able to stop the 500 leaks per day talking about it. I'll be happy with 4.8 ghz! I'll feel let down if it maxes out at 4.5 ghz.

These are nothing more than placeholders with specs taken from Adored's hoax

My demands are tiny compared to most users here. Ryzen 3000 will be a great upgrade for me.

I disagree. My 1200 undervolted and overclocked to 3125 mhz uses 1/3 less power than default in prime95. Default is 3100 mhz on all cores in prime95. It uses less power than default overclocked to 3400 mhz on all cores. Default will only boost one core and none under full load. It also uses no more power at idle. I have Cool and Quiet enabled and it still drops the voltage and frequency while idling.

I've got the similar results with a 2400G. I've been able to get it to run about 200 mhz faster on all cores while using slightly less power than default.

AM4 does seem to better tuned than AM2 or AM3 was.

I've got a lot of them too. I keep 3 for each cpu now: one set at the lowest voltage I can use, one overclocked to use the cpu at the same power draw as default, and one with almost the maximum overclock. I usually use the lowest voltage profile.

Looks like AMD will give us great offer with zen 2 7nm CPU's.
Hope for good GPU offer also 1500 EUR 2080ti is horrible offer.

It's all speculation till the keynote but my corsair H105 salivates at the thought of mounting her 7nm bust!

Man its getting hard holding out for Ryzen 2 lol.
I may force myself to buy a new monitor first, then I will get a new CPU. My 1600 does extremely well but I am on an 80hz panel and will be upgrading to a 100hz panel that does 144hz in ultrawide 1080p.

I agree - the Intel stock coolers are woefully insufficient. They're adequate if you don't expect your CPU to utilize boost clocks, or, if you're fine with 80C+ with the fans spinning very loudly.

    " AMD Ryzen 7 3700X at 12 cores, 24 threads with a 4.2 GHz base and 5.0 GHz Boost clocks. "

5.0 GHz Boost on all processors? Or one processor?

No processor lists their retail boost as the single core boost, always the all-core boost.

For some reason i thought they did all-core boost, but you are right, and that honestly is quite misleading in my opinion.
