In contrast to prior reports of an AMD Ryzen 7000 and 600-series motherboard launch on September 15 (which AMD confirmed during an internal meeting with partners and motherboard makers), the company c... AMD Ryzen 7000 series could launch same day that Intel introduces Raptor lake
Amd to regain perfrormance crown again. They'll probably respond with v-cache 7800x3d when intel releases raptor lake.
That screws me up, had a friend coming out from the UK at the end of September, the release will be to late for me to order and get del8very in time. Looks like il pick up a new core system around Xmas instead.
No kidding. I feel bad for reviewers because they really have to crunch for these releases. AMD got flak in the past when they did CPU and GPU releases at the same time, and it didn't help when things like BIOS updates and drivers needed regular patching, further slowing down the work of reviewers. I hope AMD will at least be graceful enough to give reviewers more time to put everything together. Seems to me Intel might be doing better this round, because otherwise AMD's stuff would stand out at the top of the charts if they released first. If they are doing worse, they can still remain fresh in peoples' minds by having reviews released at the same time.
All rumors for now, but if it turns out to be true, it can work both ways. Either AMD is too confident that they can ruin intel RPL with zen4 launch and the performance are great, or intel might have the edge at some areas and AMD want to spoil that as well. Either way this round will be interesting, i think Intel might win the first battle but AMD will be victorious with the 3D variants.
