Just a few more days for CES then we will know the full specifications and changes in the architecture , not long now :)

Kinda upsets me that AMD has been holding back 5gz from us. They milked us for 2 years with crappy speeds.

I'll wait and see what the cost is. If it's reasonable, I'm in for a 3700x. At the very least a 3600X

    Should be fine. Same board.

  5. Remember the FX-9590 ? lol.

Boost clocked at 5GHz, stock at 4.7 but was built on Piledriver so all the Operating Frequencies in the world wouldn't have amounted to much...

I'm pleased with the instructions per cycle improvements AMD has yielded. A better micro-architecture with robust instruction sets.

Among other various engineering factors involved ... yadayada...Now complemented with higher Operating Frequencies, can now show better results. They went from night to day as opposed to Bulldozer... from bad business choices with contractual obligations to Global Foundries to a million other varying factors...

Very likely 3700X with 12C/24C is actually laser cut 16C/32T as it has same cache sizes. That makes it even more attractive to me.
I just hope, that those "leaks" are leaking from reliable source and not from someones arse.

F***! If those prices are real, then the 3600x is going to be the perfect CPU for me! It seems i´ll finally switch for the dark side for the first time.

^ Funny, I've always thought of Intel as the dark side

Well they are but i always think AMD as the dark side because of their Phenom Black Edition CPUs, i really like the naming and it got stuck on me as the dark side, silly stuff i know...:p

The Intel X-series CPUs come in a black box though. ;)

    • Ryzen 5 3600G: 8-cores, 16-threads, 12 GPU cores, clocked at 3.2GHz to 4.0GHz
Can I use this with a 580 in Crossfire?

They're expected to be announced during Lisa Su's keynote on Jan 9....

I'm a bit skeptical of the specs, though the screenshot from Gigabyte does seem to agree with the leaked specs. A motherboard vendor is unlikely to accidentally post a bios update with unconfirmed specs being listed. IF the specs/prices end up being real, I'm looking at a possible upgrade to R5 3600 or R5 3600X....not that my R5 1600 is having any issues keeping up. Just that it's nearing 2 years old and I always love faster processors.

In the past, there was "hybrid CF" that allowed a form of CF using a dGPU and an iGPU.... Not sure if AMD still supports that though.

That website is not a Russian "e-tailer".
It is just a website where you can compare best prices - something like PC Partpicker .
They do not sell anything. They just show you the best offers from online shops in Russia.

So since they will never be selling actual processors, they would never have the specs ahead of time which means they more than likely just copy / paste the specs from Adored TV / Reddit to create the listings and that is it.

With a huge grain of salt.... This is the first CPU release that would make me really consider a new build to replace my 4790K (which I still have no issues with). Let's see how this shakes out with actual specs, prices and benchmarks.
