Motherboard vendors are readying new Bios with the new Agesa code for the upcoming Ryzen 3xxx CPUs , allegedly Gigabyte had an oops moment and for a few minutes posted a new Bios on some of the their AM4 motherboards , namely x470 mobos , it has since then taken down the new Bios posted and it is not listed anymore.

OK honestly, if it's on a mobo vendor website, then it's pretty much confirmed.

    My body is readier now

This has so much win that current Ryzen owners can just pop in a new CPU keeping the rest of their investment! If only Intel did that for the *lake series... intentionally... Hah!

Was debating a threadripper but if Ryzen 9 comes in for less money than a current 2950x equivalent chip then I am all in!

    So excited for next year!!

I know that x470 motherboards will support the Ryzen 3000 series with a bios update, but does anyone know if they will do bios updates for the x370 motherboards as well?

If They do, it will be great PR. Boards should have no problems as power requirements on those 7nm chips is very good. Changes in chipset are not that big.
I wonder about PCIe 4.0 and chance that Navi will support it too.

But there was not really big reason to move from 300 chipsets to 400 ones unless there was specific requirements. (Like some OC on APU as many 300 boards did not have strong power delivery for iGPU.)

I'm in for a few of these if the leaks turn out to be true.

    Looking good :)

    Yes, H2 is Matisse apparently.

3600X is still my choice, around a 9900K performance wise (should be, anyway) and hopefully less than half the cost. Just swap out my 1600X after a BIOS update.

Thank you AMD, in advance :D

(Pinch of salt still on standby)

Yah, if this turns out to be true, Intel's complacency is about to cost them big time.

This could be a legendary and moreover diametric shift in the market.

I wonder if the 12/24 has one less cluster or is it a failed 16/32 which might be laser cut, but might be unlocked who knows. I suspect they are failed 16/32 chips.

This information all seem to be based on the AdoredTV leaks and going by those all of the 3000-series desktop CPUs are based on a 2-chip design. The 12-core CPUs are made up of two partially defective 8-core chips, each with 6 active cores.
