Something nearly lost in this discussion is what I personally consider to be the silver-lining to this melodrama. And that would be the apparently necessary demise of the UEFI graphical interface, also known as the "interface for millennials." If not demise, then maybe dialing back from it's current "11" down to about "2" or so. Ditching the graphics completely would probably allow for the entirety of Tolstoy's "War and Peace" to be included within the remaining addressable space. In nine languages.

So, for those who did not return the cpu, they basically stole it from AMD? That is many levels of screwed up and one reason why we cannot have nice things.

sry for the late response friend
inside bios seek digi+ power LLC 1(FOR BETTER SINGLE THREAD PERFORMANCE) - 3 FOR MULTI)
cpu current capability 130% or 140%
next go to Amd overclocking and use this settings:
    pbo advance
    pbo limits
    ppt 0
    tdc 0
    edc 1
    overdrive scalar x10
    max cpu boost 200
    thermal throttle 200
    (my m/b is x570 strix f gaming)
but also my strix f 450 and hero vi and hero vii have this options.
    Good luck.

The upgrade to Zen 2 was just like this in most B350 motherboards, where they had to remove support for Raven Ridge to m Tutuapp 9Apps ShowBox ake space in the ROM, and if you were on Raven Ridge and flashed a Zen 2 BIOS you'd be left with a dead system, and it would be your fault.

    Unfortunately doesn't work. :(
Multicore lost 200Mhz, single core 400Mhz (run some games I know CPU gets pushed to max clock on 2 cores), with those settings not getting over 4250 from 4600-4650 my 3900X used to do at 100% dual/single core load.
Seems X570 Taichi doesn't like LLC1 even if temps are pretty low either.

Went back to LLC3 with XFR & PBO on just "Enabled", 0 values with Manual 5x Scalar.

    Again thanks :)

Trick is in EDC = 1A. Have you seen monitoring Values in Ryzen Master as hundreds to thousands of percent (In red)?
Values set to "0" mean auto.

I do not think my motherboard has the EDC 1 bug.

X570 Taichi with 2.73 bios. (the later 2 versions cut 200mhz from the CPU).
