AMD Releases Athlon 3000G Processor for Mainstream Desktop Users

I can't believe your sample of the current AMD flagship CPU got lost in transit! Could there possibly be worse luck?

 

I wander if this is overclockable...

 

Shame your review sample got lost. I know it is old tech and so missing a bit of IPC, but at that and with not too many watts to cool down it would be fun seeing how it overclocked and also what sort of games it could play at 1080p. Presumably not RDR2, but then again not many people can even play that at at 720p or any p whatsoever ( ho ho) )

 

After a quick scan around, for an entry level cpu into the AM4 system that's a hell of a cpu and price - cooler included too!! - beating all comparable Intel offerings (both cpu and integrated gfx), excellent for someone looking for a value system with significant upgradability potential. As Intel have stated, they're also being impacted ominously on the value end through supply issues. Pricing doesn't help.

 

Hey Hilbert can you run Steam encoding test like Emby or Plex

 

Hopefully they'll now also drop B550 chip set.

 

I think that the review sample got lost due to "intelligence"from third parties involved.

 

It is written on the box... Lol
But also every old Athlon GE despite being "locked" are unlocked by the bios from every major maker (MSI, Asrock, Asus...) exept on the last one due to demand from AMD to keep them locked...
Personaly i wonder if the PCIe are still in X4 or if they have put the X8 like in the Ryzen G/GE.
