Somebody mentioned he f4cked up more than he allowed to. I think it's a gentle way to say step back, Raja.

Maybe we'll see him again as engineer, but not leading. AFAIK Lisa took CPU department to her hands and come out with Ryzen.
She might as well step in for GPU department.

... Do yourself a favor and just read through the thread first, focusing particularly on a previous post explaining what AMD's sabbatical program is exactly.

    Again, the same.
"AMD cannot even make enough Radeon RX Vega cards as they'll sell them instantly"...where? Here in Poland you can find Vega 64 cards new and used as probably those who have made the mistake did understand that those cards are good only to say "hey I got an AMD Vega here and it is so cool to have a card to go merely on pair with a gtx 1080 and to cosume twice the wattage"
Very few people are buying the Vega cards, same applies to Italy.
To make things a bit more clear...I am so happy to be an owner of a gtx 1080 which overclocks very well and it performs only 5% less then a stock gtx 1080ti...still consuming ~200 watts.
If you people are looking for a Vega card and as the author of the article says you are experiencing difficulties in finding one you only need to look at the online shops here in Poland, the few are: allegro, x-com...for sure many sellers will be so happy to sell those cards abroad.
    Take care.

Sure, he and his wife are enjoying the most awesome party ever.
Not to speak about the love and tender within the two...they are so clear that cannot be negated.

So by there being no availability means they are selling out as soon as they come in, means that is bad for business? What school of economics taught you that nugget? Yes like OMG... Vega didn't beat an 1080TI wholly hand grenade, but at the 1080 level it's a no brainer. Choose with your money, not your mouth.

If Nvidias stock situation was as limited as Vegas, they would be sold out too. I think AMD erred on the side of caution, after all, they knew the reviews would not be as positive as they wished, so they may not have wanted to produce massive quantities that would encumber them if over-stocked. And yes, as you say, "choose with your money, not your mouth", so if Vega 64 actual price (not MSRP) is higher than a 1080, would be pretty dumb not to choose the more power efficient 1080 over it. So its not as you say a "no brainer".

    ^^^^
Thank you for re-assuring my statement. When I referred to the "no brainer" I was strictly speaking from the hardware / performance level. I can see now I should have rearranged that a bit to be clearer, as the current market pricing is not.
