I just want to remind that I usually post the latest UWP drivers from the DEV/Canary branch of Win11. So these drivers we can define as beta as well. In the retail branch are different UWP drivers - older and more stable.

MS Store offers just the Radeon Settings App (many versions). The real driver comes via Windows Update. The driver defines which Radeon Settings App is compatible with it (thanks to the UWPair driver).

Older drivers from the retail branch use the older Radeon Settings App. I mean that App has different branches just like the driver.

I think the retail UWP driver uses 10.23.10017.0 or 10.22.40035.0. The latest UWP works just with 10.23.2xxxx.x App.

Everything installed fine but there is no HAGS option to enable here.

It looks like you need W11 for HAGS with this driver.

There is a new audio driver v10.0.1.27 from the new Adrenalin 23.5.1 for 7600 cards.
It works fine with the last UWP video driver.

Will update the ancient one from the OP.
    That one was from 22.5.1

    Thank you.

No HAGS mention in the official 23.5.1, shame.

23.5.1 is not from this branch of drivers. At least not for RX 6000.

I succeeded to run the new OpenGL and Vulkan modules from the 7600 driver package with the last UWP driver.

The new 7 OpenGL extensions are:

    The final mix:
I played "Doom Eternal" and "Wolfenstein - The New Order" for a while - no problems:

I just grabbed some files from 7600 drivers (for Vulkan and OpenGL) and replace with them the old ones from the UWP driver. Then I installed this way modded UWP driver. Of course, I got a warning from Windows during the installation that the driver has been modified (I have no certificate to sign it again after the modification) but the installation succeeded.

    warn.jpg

I have uploaded the modified variant of the UWP driver.

Maybe it's possible just to replace some files on an already installed driver, but I haven't tried this variant.

For Vulkan I've made a tutorial in certain Discord server awhile ago, tho untested against any higher level anti cheats. Tested in 23.3.2 and latest UWP driver

Unsure about how to do this on OpenGL for regular driver.
Here's the copy for the tutorial:

First off, make a system restore point and do backup of your GPU Registry over at `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000` also Vulkan registry over at `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan\`
**EXIT ALL VULKAN APPLICATION BEFORE RUNNING**

    1. Open regedit and go to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000`
    2. Delete both `VulkanDriverName` and `VulkanImplicitLayers`
    3. Go to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan\` make sure there is no entry for `amd-vulkan64.json` in both `ImplicitLayer` and `Drivers` subfolder
    4. Download `VK_symlink.rar` that I sent below, extract them in a subfolder of the root partition of your Windows (eg. C:\VK_symlink\)
    5. Add that folder to User Defined PATH
    > - Open `Advanced System Properties`
    > - Go to `Advanced` tab, open `Environment Variables`
    > - On `User-defined Variables` double click on `Path`
    > - Press `New` then add path to the extracted folder (eg. C:\VK_symlink)
    > - Press `Ok`
    6. On `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan\Drivers`, make new DWORD-32 key with the name pointing to the json path of the extracted file (eg. C:\VK_symlink\amd-vulkan64-symlink.json). Leave the value to 0.
    > Note. if `Drivers` subfolder did not exist, make one
    7. Make another of the same key inside `ImplicitLayers` subfolder
    8. All done!

To test and see which amdvlk64.dll driver is loaded on an application, you can do the following:
    1. Download and open Process Explorer (https://download.sysinternals.com/files/ProcessExplorer.zip)
    2. On the extracted zip file, open `vkcube_test` then open vkcube.exe app
    3. In Process Explorer window, find vkcube.exe process, double click on it.
    4. Open `Threads` tab, click on `amdvlk64.dll` then press `Module`
    5. Make sure the file path is from the extracted folder

I have included several amdvlk64.dll(s) inside the `amdvlk64 Collection` folder. If you wish to change which one is loaded, just copy one of the dll to the game folder and remove the version number (leaving only `amdvlk64.dll`).
    Have fun testing!

    **DISCLAIMER**
    - I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for anything that happen to either your Windows installation, or banned account shall it get banned for any reason after using this tutorial. I have extracted `amdvlk64.dll` from either nimez folder or AMD official package with nothing modified except the loader json `amd-vulkan64-symlink.json` file.
    - This method of changing Vulkan driver HAS NOT been tested with Anti Cheat in mind, as I personally don't have Vulkan-enabled games that has Anti Cheat (eg. Rainbow 6 Siege). Though, Anti Cheat enabled DX11 Games has been tested and did not seem to find anything wrong about this (Apex Legends (EAC), Genshin Impact (miHoYo Protect), Honkai Impact 3rd (Tencent's AntiCheatExpert))
    - This method currently only works in 64-bit Vulkan enabled apps/games

    **MOTIVATION**
    - Primary motivation for me to do this is because any AMD Vulkan driver past 22.11.2 crashes any ncnn-vulkan based scaler that I have, so in frustration I explore methods and found this workaround.

    **Vulkan specific driver bug list**
Writing this as per my specs (Vega 3 Picasso iGPU), feel free to chime in your bugs below and I'll update this message
    =< 22.11.2
    - Mumu Emulator X (beta) breaks (error initializing graphics)

    >= 22.12.1
    - ncnn memory allocation failed

Hi! Can you check Performance Metrics FPS and Frametime on Overlay? One day I tried UWP driver and weird Overlay has displayed both FPS and Frametime. After I was updating drivers many times on retail version and never had Frametime again on Overlay (WTF).

Can you check Overlay Frametime on your setup with UWP drivers? Tnx :)
