Can confirm (at least on 6900xt with 144hz display) that with freesync disabled the memory stay at max frequency at all times without any issues, but yeah, you do get higher idle power consumption.

I've already sent my bug report findings to AMD, hope this gets addressed soon. In very rare cases, this bug can crash the driver in games. I've noticed this in Cyberpunk 2077 and PSO2 New Genesis where these games usually can recover from the freeze fine but in rare situations tied to those games they do not recover. In Cyberpunk its changing the resolution while its reporting 0 mhz. In PSO2 its returning from alt+tab while HDR is enabled and 0 mhz is reporting.

Ah yeah... If you are recording and this stuff happens, the list of games that this bug will crash changes btw.
Like BDO won't crash if you don't record, but it will if you do record desktop.

At this point I set up a custom sound alert in my overlay software to let me know when the clocks don't update (0 mhz or greyed out) so I don't have to rely on staring at numbers to see if I'm playing crash roulette with alt+tab. If the sound plays then I win+P to fix it quickly or reload adrenalin profile. Really annoying workaround but it works and I keep my freesync.

Sorry for the offtopic but AMD has released new Chipset drivers, can I upgrade safely? no harm to my test GPU drivers?
Overall I've liked perfomance on the new drivers. Much more smooth on my Refference RX6700XT.

Probably just speculation. It would be way too fast for a beta driver to be released as final just a month later.

the v31.0.22000.11008 is not a beta driver, there are beta drivers in the AMD Radeon Vanguard Program, the one mentioned is a preview driver .. so still far away from beta

There are no changelog for these drivers.
And when a new driver is out, The Creator will mostlikely post about it and I then update the links in the OP.
The only thing I changed yestarday was instructions and added a link to MS Store for the App Installer needed for installing the MSIX package that contains the Control panel.

Can anyone confirm that these preview drivers work on Win 10 22H2 (19045)?
I'd like to try them so just asking if anyone tried it yet on latest Win 10 update.

Correct but also wrong. UWP drivers are a totally separate branch from AMD official branch. These are preview drivers from the UWP branch but that has zero meaning on anything from this branch making its way to the official branch (vanguard and so on)
