AMD Radeon Software - Preview Drivers - DCH/UWP

Thanks for this new release. I realize that with this release and prior AMD Link server component is not included. If i want to install this component, what are the files that i have to install and can be installed after?

A new AMD Radeon Software 10.23.30009.0 is available.

I re-uploaded the file. Now it includes the updated script for installation.

You can edit the old script by replacing this row:
SET AMDAPPVERSION=10.23.30008.0
With this one:
SET AMDAPPVERSION=10.23.30009.0
And you have to copy the new App into the EXTRAS directory.

Because we usually post just the official UWP drivers coming via Windows Update (some of them beta).

The last few versions are "artificial" made from Adrenalin drivers. Mostly because the first Adrenalin from the new branch was not compatible with the "old" cards and I made a UWP driver with a modified inf file.

 

yes I'm confused too many drivers, I only need the UWP driver, don't care about new driver compatibility mods so they can run on an old graphics cards especially just because of the hyper rx feature. I had to reinstall my Windows because I tried to use modified the Nimez driver
btw can i have the oroginal AMD UWP v.31.0.22011.1008 without the lies of P mods

 

Nimez driver strikes again
The original UWP is on the first page of the forum, and v.31.0.22011.1008 is the Lies of P game-ready driver (it's not an official UWP).

 

If someone has problems with MW2 can try this mod of 23.9.3 (23.20.11.04) with UMD modules from the unreleased 23.20.11.05 driver:

I don't have the game so I can't try it by myself. I have removed unnecessary drivers for AMD-Link and NoiseSuppression. If someone wants the whole driver - can copy the missing directories from the 23.9.3 driver (amdfdans, amdpcibridge, and amdxe) before the installation and delete the 2 lines in the cmd file for disabling AMD-Link in the registry.

 

i test this, still same dota 2 not start, i cant move from latest 390003 with HAGS

 

yes 39003 with hags is the best UWP Driver so far
and no crash playing Gears of Wars 3 in the intro with canary

 

That crash has been there since forever lol. I thought it's a Canary bug. Amazing that it's fixed....at last.

It seems that this guy on reddit can enable HAGS with R.ID 23.9.3 drivers (amermine) on 6700XT.

In my case with a 7900XTX, it does not like to enable DXGMX HAGS.
I had hopes but it's always interesting to know.

 

I tried it yesterday but it didn't work on 7900XT. I admit that the screenshot with 6750 might not be real.
In the past, there was one UWP driver (or it was 20.5.1) that supported 5700 cards (it didn't work on my 6800XT) and later another 39003 that worked on 6000 and 7000 cards (it worked on my 7900XT). No more drivers with HAGS support.

So I don't believe that some hacks could activate it if there is no support in the drivers. In my experiments - it's enough just to use amdkmdag.sys (kernel driver) from 39003 with the rest of 23.20.11.04 files to make it work. Just this change activates HAGS without any reg hacks.

But I think the new drivers are not so compatible anymore with the kernel driver from 39003 that's why I didn't publish this mod.

Anyway there are some registry files in NimeZ driver, for example, this one:

Of course, if I add these keys to the registry - HAGS doesn't work. No matter if I do it with NimeZ driver or UWP/Adrenalin.

By the way, where is this "Page2" option? I can't find this option with NimeZ drivers. Of course, I can find it in the source files (this way I found the registry hive file) but I can't find it in the menus.

If that were true - I think this functionality would be loudly advertised by the author of the driver.
