Still no fix for high power idle usage. Or stuck high VRAM clocks.

What issue? Here it's working perfectly, even with OC and undervolt.

    Wrong card.

    I'm talking about 7900XTX.

VRAM clocks stuck at 909Mhz and usage is 100W+ at 165hz on 2 monitors. Goes down to 50W at 144hz, switching to 120hz brings it back up to 100W. Been like this for months!

That is a very specific situation.

And very common at the same time. Dynamic VRAM clocking for some multi-monitor or refresh rate configs is constant WIP with AMD (It can work well though.).
Then also clock management of RDNA3 is terrible in general. Animated gif in browser? May well cause 100W power draw. RDNA3 is just terrible in that regard vs. RDNA2.

watching youtube is very uncommon indeed.

holy christmas, and here I was worried about 3090 power, waiting for 7900xt drop under 700eur.

this is as good as it will get on amd. even the 6800 that draws 5w on a single 170hz will go to 45w with two

I was talking about 2 hours video.
I'll try to see if I can replicate the issue on my side.

    Lol go read that again.
And two hours was just an example, it can happen after 15min or 6 hours

I think I managed to replicate the issue while playing a youtube video.
Memory clocks remain stuck at max. Although core clock goes to 5-50Mhz.

What does closing the browser do in your case ? In mine the clocks are down but the power stays high.

It goes back to the same values on my first screenshot.

mine doesn't and 0 fan mode no longer applies when using 26-27w. Though I never got to freakin 51w and 800rpm while playing a yt video. tops at 26-27 and stays there

Even with a 4K video, it stays at 26W?
What browser are you using? And are you using hardware acceleration?

I'm using Brave. I tried Firefox, but got the same result.
Also tried setting the screen refresh rate to 60. Same result.

mine is at 13-14 no matter what but once it randomly goes to 26 even closing the browser does nothing.
