We already reported earlier that a Radeon 7900 chip would be moved into the 7800 lineup. More details have now surfaced, . According to a new information the "Tahiti LE" SKU has been brand named Radeon HD 7890. Information like clock speeds, core and memory configurations are still unknown, the new SKU, according to the report, is being designed to be 15% faster than GeForce GTX 660 on average, while being similarly priced.

Seems surprising they went with the 7890 designation, not 7930. I'm guessing it has 2GB 256 bit bus of memory, not 3GB 384 bit bus like the HD79xx range, and that's why?

If that is the case, maybe the rumoured HD8930 will actually be called a HD8890?

Another 560ti 448 Core as it seems. For performance wise, the gap between 7950 and 7870 is not that big. No idea why they relaese this card

Only 7950 Boost will remain; vanilla 7950 will be no more. That's why

I suppose it lets them increase chip yields.
