Is there any way to enable the ReLive menu for GCN 1.0?
Wolfenstein also benefits from using the AMD v-sync (at least it did in the older days prior to crimson) and turning off the in-game v-sync.
I don't know, but I have GCN 1.0 and I have relive!
Seems 17.3.1 supports SM 6.0 now although what "Experimental Mode" is I'm not too sure on.
(Shader Model 6.0 should come with the RS2 update for Win10 so it at least probably requires a recent Insider version of that version of the OS.)
EDIT: Probably doesn't really concern games that much just yet though, more about DirectX 12 development and the SDK itself.

EDIT: Ah experimental mode in Win10 (RS2, insider build.) itself, nothing in the driver.

So essentially experimental mode is the same as development mode being enabled for the OS under the update options in the settings app.

All GPU's that support D3D Feature Level 12_0 I believe.
GCN 1.1 and newer are probably supported, a little bit unsure about GCN 1.0 though meaning the 7000 series.
(But if there's feature compliance with 12_0 then that should work too.)
(Which it seems like it has: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feature_levels_in_Direct3D Though AMD and Nvidia don't have 100% support for 12_0 or 12_1 yet but that probably isn't too important for this.)
As much as I hated Raptr, there's no replacement for older mobility cards and Game DVR is not as nice.
I was hoping that there was some magical RadeonMod setting.
OpenGL performance is absolute garbage in this driver, seems to be getting worse every driver release since 17.1.
Judged from which titles? Because in CEMU it's like I got a new GPU. More fps and no more extra visual errors.
Still get stuttering every second with Freesync On. Back to 17.1.2. Anyone experience this?
Just Runescape NXT but I did try Quake Live and it seems to also suffer a tiny bit from stutters.
EDIT: Just tested Serious Sam 3:BFE, ~86 fps in DX11, ~62 fps in OpenGL with stutters even when it's above 60 fps. It was never that bad...
Yea AMD through the years has no interest in opengl and they will not fix anything if they doesn't have large benefit from that. But luckily for us Quake Champions is just around the corner...I'll be testing beta QC and report here from that experience.
Have you tried renaming executables and checking again? Any chance that they messed up old profiles when they apply? I can't think of anything else. I was seriously impressed with CEMU.
AFAIK they don't even have a Runescape profile. I had to add it manually. It's like they don't realise how many people play it. According to the RS website atm: 97,434 Online at the same time. For comparison on Steam: 331,237 - Dota 2, 315,916 - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, 52,682 - Team Fortress 2.
Also, you were probably confusing the gains on Cemu with 1.7.3.
I guess there was a rumor that Quake Champions will have vulkan too.
I don't expect SM6.0 to give any significant result soon, but I already have Windows Insider installed on a separate partition, so I updated it to the newest build + updated the drivers to 17.3.1.
I ran the benchmark for The Division in DX11 + DX12 both on my normal Windows installation and on Windows Insider. Both with the same drivers and same graphic settings.
I also had Game Mode activated on Windows Insider, just to see. "Developer mode" was active on Insiders, in case it was needed for SM6.
Results: no difference whatsoever.
Normal Windows: 65fps in DX12, 58 (nearly 59) in DX11.
Windows Insider + game mode: 65fps in DX12, solid 58 in DX11.
Only tested for curiosity, so I'm not surprised there was no benefit to it.
Well, you need an app to be compiled in SM6.0 to see any differences.
Microsoft previews changes arriving with Shader Model 6.0
Tim Willits isn't sure yet 'cause game will not run on Id Tech exactly.
It is running on a Id tech but not Id tech 6 exactly. Does not mean it wont have Vulkan support though.
