My believe is that AHCI only works well from scratch install with windows.

There are people that succesfully changed from ide to AHCI after install but it is a bit of an hassle

I don't now what your case is but personaly I use raid and never had problems :)

I don't want to start a new topic so I will ask here.

Does anyone have info about build 16.10 mentioned in Polaris uarch presentation?

Anyone else having BSODs with Radeon Software 15.12 on Mobility Radeon GPUs? I had the "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION" BSOD caused by amdkmpfd.sys driver so I reverted to Catalyst 15.11 beta UnifL from Leshcat + video driver from Catalyst 15.11.1, and the BSODs have stopped. I think I'll wait for a 16.10 build to see if it won't BSOD anymore.

Upload a crash dump somewhere, if you still have it on hand. I'll have a look at it.

    1) Update or remove the Logitech software that installed this driver. If you need to remove, it is only temporary until issue is sorted. Then you can move on and test with it to see about it:

    Code:
    0: kd> lmvm wmxlcore
    start end module name
    fffff800`4ff30000 fffff800`4ff41480 WmXlCore (deferred)
        Image path: WmXlCore.sys
        Image name: WmXlCore.sys
        Timestamp: Tue Apr 27 16:09:26 2010 (4BD74476)
        CheckSum: 000211D4
        ImageSize: 00011480
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
    2) Update Realtek card reader driver:

    Code:
    RtsUVStor RtsUVStor.sys Fri Nov 01 03:34:22 2013
    http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=25&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

    3) Update this from Dell if at all possible. It is Airplane Mode Switch Driver or similar:

    Code:
    DellRbtn DellRbtn.sys Fri Aug 03 17:32:54 2012
    4) Uninstall SmartDefrag software until issue sorted, or to test without it:

    Code:
    0: kd> lmvm SmartDefragDriver
    start end module name
    fffff800`4b070000 fffff800`4b078000 SmartDefragDriver (deferred)
        Image path: SmartDefragDriver.sys
        Image name: SmartDefragDriver.sys
        Timestamp: Mon Dec 23 05:05:52 2013 (52B80B00)
        CheckSum: 00011924
        ImageSize: 00008000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Everything else looks ok. For some strange reason, many command will not work on your crash dump. Check CPU-Z's memory tab and compare to SPD tab. Make sure things are set well. If any overclocking on anything, revert to factory settings, until issue is sorted.

Finally tested these drivers, but had no video settings available. Adding the following registry key to UMD\DXVA made it work.

    CCCNextVideoSettings_NA, REG_SZ, "0"

    or if using binary

    CCCNextVideoSettings_NA, REG_BINARY, 30 00

I had to reboot for it to take effect though.
