Let's just hope that the new version of Crimson would perform awesome in the Division :) And it will be released very, very, VERY soon. Hope...we still have it, right? :D

well fixed hitching sort of, make sure vsync is not on auto if you have freesync ect ;) put it on off and its butter smooth.

but the ghosting and flickering is annoying me now lol

Can't say i accept your argument. This 16.2.1 was already worked on for the division by AMD and this is what they bring? a flickering blurry mess? I am dissapoint.

i totally agree with you but unfortunately is the only workaround we have to make things work better, with the hope to see improved drivers in the next months

Doesn't really suprise me if it flickers on crossfire. It's gameworks title afterall.

Had a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSOD with this driver yesterday in Kodi v16, while watching a video.

It's an hardware related error. Can happen with an instable overclock (cpu or gpu) or with faulty hardware. It's not driver related

Some old games, like Nexus: The Jupiter Incident.
Also some console ports like Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2.

Keep in mind that I'm still rocking my old 5650m on Windows 10 64-bit.
    So YMMV.

Yes it can be driver related, because the drivers are controlling the hardware.

It could be a software related after all....but not driver this time.

Do you installed the VERY last Kodi version?

Kodi 16 (Final) release was delayed for 2 months and a half (due on 12/31/2105) because developers had to fix some difficult bugs and it finally appear in February 20.

Now even after this long delay fixing things new bugs surfaced.

Kodi 16 final comes back to RC1 stage with a new version.

Yes, I was running 16.0. Will try 16.1 RC1, and see if it happens again. Thanks.

I wonder did they fixed black screen problem while gaming/web browsing while using DP cable("out of range, check signal cable") from 16.1 and 16.2. Doesn't exist this problem on 15.11.1
It was few times per day, very annoying...

A variant of that thing? https://community.amd.com/thread/188642 No it's still there.

On my old monitor I could just turn on and off the monitor and it would be solved, with the new one I have to actually switch the display resolution and then back again although I heard unplugging and plugging back in the cable works as well.

Unless yours is a entirely different issue, Crimson has a couple of those still remaining like that downclock over-sensitivity. (Go Clockblocker, or that recent registry tweak though I'll probably stick to blocker myself.)

That said some games are a bit sensitive to display driver crashes with Crimson from what I've experienced, borderless or windowed mode works in most cases but they can still happen, thought it was related to the downclocking (Or actually the lowered voltage that's also happening or at least I assume it's both voltage and core speeds that are downed.) but it doesn't seem to be the case so it's some deeper driver issue and hopefully it's not some core error of this GPU model requiring a bios flash or whatever.
(Not really sure what's in a modern GPU bios besides fan profiles, voltage and clock speeds plus some model names, version numbers and the like. :p )

It'll be sorted eventually, or maybe it's time for a upgrade with Polaris and whatever new and interesting issues that might have early on after release*
(*Early on can be a pretty long time going by AMD standards seeing how this screen corruption error is still a thing with the Fury/Nano GPU models but eh at least it's possible to work around it in most cases but it needs to be fixed properly...)

Well i hope it has many fixes. The latest crimson driver is causing stutter in just cause 3. I want to revert back, but it is the only one that has the hdmi cable issue resolved.

They always like what they see else they wouldn't release the drivers to begin with. So it's all based on their standards, won't be a surprise if they like crap drivers after all they don't look to actually play games using amd hardware (tests are done with intel cpu because obvious amd doesn't make cpus, and based on the current amd driver state they kinda look to play games with nvidia gpus also).
I believe that when amd manage to fix 1 bug that is like 3 years old there is a party in their office. Ofc there is a high chance that the fix will no longer work in the next driver and it will take another 3 years for a fix, oh I forgot the gpus will be moved to legacy by then...

Maybe this time they made the fans totaly stop and make the drivers report lower temperatures so your gpu burns out, from an economical point of view they will get more money this way because some people will be stupid enough to buy gpu from them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruCr6OXbK5E) . You can easily call it the ultimate "fix" (a dead gpu no longer needs drivers so they "fixed" the problem).

pr department job is to sell illusions. amd is "ferry" good at pr stuff, but that's where things end. from my point of view that twitter post is just another pr bs crap and nothing else.

Also the fact that in some release notes 101 bugs are listed as fixed say nothing. You can have 1 single bug that can ruin everything (like temps totaly wrong reported (causing the fan to not cool properly the gpu), gpu usage totaly wrong reported (causing the clocks/voltages to spike like mad)).

as I said recently regarding a MMO, it matters a lot when you fix the bugs. if it takes ages, you might find out that no one believes you when you say that you fix it because no one is using your stuff/playing your game.

Well I expect these new drivers to have something more interesting than bug fixes. They don't advert hotfixes beforehand.

Maybe new power options? (Even I don't believe in that)

I sense so much hatred. Man go outside and take a walk, get some fresh air, just enjoy the view. It ain't worth it. Afterwards, me and you can b**ch all day long about society, gov't, corporate policy, etc.

There is no hate. I just make fun of amd nothing else because I think they deserve it.

Not much else I can do (except buying an nvidia gpu). They can send me the driver code, I will probably fix their crap faster. It takes too long to reverse engineer their drivers to try to fix the crap this way.
