Unfortunately these drivers fck up my system...as soon as I try to run anything "3d" related, system becomes not responding (doesn't freeze, there's just the "loading" circle instead of the mouse cursor and I can't open/close/choose anything). Even ctr;+alt+del won't do anything and I have to hard-reset the system.

    As always, DDUed etc.

    Back to 4.2

    R1700+TaichiX370+V56 (with V64 BIOS).

Works like a charm up to 20.4.2 (non WHQL).

Had the same problem when I tried the "store version" of WDDM 2.7 (I'm on release preview channel).

I guess I need 1-2 releases for these rough edges to get polished.

Reddit posts has Wattman as messed up in these so if you use anything from there it could be related.

EDIT: Though the bios mod should go outside of that anyway but still a problem.

So with Vega i shouldn't upgrade to 20.5.1 ? 20.4.2 is running quite stable for me, i'm also using the new edge browser :( ..

I would recommend you to flash back stock bios for your gpu, card may be not handling properly v64 bios and that's what causing issues.

Aww, OverdriveNTool doesn't work with these.

Says "driver is not installed / loaded"

I like that tool lol Much easier to use than Wattman

Quick edit: AMD Memory Tweak still working, forgot that did core clocks too.

    Woohoo!

So hardware scheduling is not going to be in AMD drivers no time soon?

Happy to report some initial results. W10 installed semi-clean (using iso / keeping the user data) from 1909 to 2004 (19041) and 20.5.1.
Preliminary findings : On my VEGA64 without clean installing (just ontop of 20.4.2) ---- no more problems using Freesync 2 HDR in The Division 2 (had catastrophic glitches under 20.4.2 making it completely unplayable in Freesync 2 HDR).
Currently running on stock without my P1 workaround for the black screen --- we will see if now it is finally solved ... will report in a few days or as soon as I notice something (or will get the dreaded a black screen).

EDIT : noticed memory is in the 3d clocks (not sure if after leaving the division 2 or was it already like that.... )
I will monitor if it happens again after a restart.

I wonder if they are trying profiles between driver versions.

Guys, kinda off topic a bit. But i can use something called Phantom gaming tweak, and it has a slient mode, would this destroy my card faster if i use that ?
just wanted to quiet the fan when I'm idle. My card is a 570 8GB OC asrock.
    I don't OC.

I've found a Bug right away. Reproducible (Vega 64 user here)
If you start Fallout 4 with iPresentInterval=2 (a setting in Fallout4Prefs.ini to enable 120 fps cap) you get a black screen with audio playing the intro music and with AMD's overlay showing, you can Alt+Tab to desktop and then the black screen is gone.
No issue with the defaut iPresentInterval=1 (but it limits the fps to only 60 max)
    No issue with previous driver.
I had hopes for this one

Why not just turn vsync off completely, set it to 0, and then use chill or something else of your choice like ENB to cap to 120? I mean it definitely counts as an issue if it never happened before, but at the same time the good news is that not only does this have more than one solution, with Fallout 4 they're probably all superior in terms of performance anyway. FO4 native vsync options, like a lot of other games, is ass. There's even a mod to get rid of above-60 fps physics bugs now.

performance overlay, turning it on decreases performance and slows down games.(i mean wtf) uninstalling these drivers. Game performance i see no difference.
    no thanks.

I update windows and the drivers. I lost a lot of performance with DAYZ. From 110+ to 60-70. Uninstall reinstall didn't fix it. Installing previous driver performance is back to normal.

Tried to turn off the overlay before going back to the old driver?
