Install it through -> Device Manager pick .inf from directory -> easy and fast.
No need for All install etc.

Unless they fixed something in the Radeon software, then you missed it.

Thanks guys, but since I'm not having serious issues, I think I'll just wait for the next one ;)

@Jackalito You can see it in MSI Afterburner OSD, DX12 :)

@Eastcoasthandle You don't experience any stability issues when running under DX12?

First time i faced odd behavior of driver. After updating to whql version and performing a reboot for some reason default soundcard switched from my x-fi titanium to amd's soundcard on graphics card.

@spectatorx that can happen, no ETA on a fix as it's low priority.

@spectatorx It happens from time to time, even if I'm doing driver installation the same way.

    @ninja750 : can't confirm anything, sorry.
But we are aware that some people still have issues with a blackscreen as seen in a recent poll(s).

@boombastik : How exactly it affects your system? what is the issue?

@Sparjdrex the default timer resolution for windows idle is 15,625 ms, a timer interrupt 64 times a second. When programs increase the timer frequency they increase power consumption .
The part of the AMD driver: radeon software:host application put it at 1ms.
There is no reason for it.
At 1 ms the power consumption is a little bigger. Imagine that with millions pcs that have AMD GPU card.

    You can read more here:

It happens to me only if a make a clean install from drivers menu and it because of the pci bus install.

In my case that was normal installation over previous version, not clean install.

No I don't have any issues. I find dx12 more fps consistent then dx11.

Also, could you test to see if there's any Improvement in latency and performance placing the 5700 XT on a cpu core other than zero (Affinity Tool).

Possibly, since i went to Ryzen 2600 from Intel i5 3550 during every AMD VGA driver installations it disables my hard disks, my network, my soundcards and USB ports including mouse and keyboard. It's quite annoying because it does it without question or warning and it should be limited to chipset driver installations only.
