AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 19.7.3 driver download

    upport For
    • Wolfenstein™: Youngblood
      • Up to 13% better performance with Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.7.3 in Wolfenstein: Youngblood than with Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.7.2RS-304
    • Radeon GPU Profiler on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products
    • Microsoft PIX on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products
    Added Vulkan Support
    • VK_EXT_display_surface_counter
      • This extension defines a vertical blanking period counter associated with display surfaces. It provides a mechanism to query support for such a counter from a VkSurfaceKHR object
    • VK_AMD_pipeline_compiler_control
      • This extension provides a way to set per-pipeline compiler options, for instance, to relax rounding rules when working with mixed-precision floating point values.
    • VK_AMD_shader_core_properties2
      • This extension exposes additional, AMD specific shader core properties for a physical device
    • VK_EXT_subgroup_size_control
      • This extension provides additional control over subgroup size, allowing applications for instance to opt-in to different subgroup sizes on devices supporting more than just one.
    • VK_KHR_imageless_framebuffer
      • This extension allows framebuffers to be created without the need for creating images first, allowing more flexibility in how they are used, and avoiding the need for many of the compatibility rules.
    • VK_KHR_variable_pointers
      • This extension allows implementations to indicate their level of support for the SPV_KHR_variable_pointers SPIR-V extension. The SPIR-V extension allows shader modules to use invocation-private pointers into uniform and/or storage buffers, where the pointer values can be dynamic and non-uniform. This release adds the optional VariablePointers support.
    Fixed Issues
    • League of Legends™ may fail to launch on Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics with Windows®7 system configurations.
    • Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products may experience DirectX®9 application crashes or hangs after an express upgrade of Radeon Software.
    • Windows Mixed Reality may fail to launch when Radeon Image Sharpening is enabled on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
    • Audio may be out of sync with videos when using Radeon ReLive VR.
    • Incorrect values may be shown in the power gauge for Radeon WattMan while applications are running on AMD Radeon VII.
    • AMD Log Utility Driver may intermittently fail to install on Windows®7 system configurations.
    • Radeon Anti-Lag may experience slight performance drops on some gaming applications when enabled.
    • Minor stuttering may occur when playing Fortnite™ during the first few minutes of gameplay on AMD Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics.
    • Radeon Overlay may experience flickering in Vulkan® API games when Radeon Image Sharpening is enabled.
    • Corruption may be observed in some tests when running Adobe™ Premier Pro 2019 benchmarks.

video still tear in fullscreen with freesync on, near top screen with normal playback speed multiple tear spot on high playback speed.
loading stage in Earth Defence Force 5 at 17 fps with amd overlay off. 60 fps with amd overlay on. that means more loading time with amd overlay turned off.
might be so for other games too.

why are you enabling freesync with a video? video fps is prolly outside the fs range

To enable free-sync in specific apps, first you need to enable it the general toggle in the screen panel of the Radeon Settings. And yes, this causes tearing on media player applications like MPC-HC and every other player based on it (eg:MPC-BE), even if the free-sync setting is toggle off in the specific application profile. So yeas, he is complaining because it is really annoying toggle every time you want to watch a video the general screen free-sync settings, because of this damn annoying bug (and that's not the first AMD re-introduced this bug).

Ahh, got it. The fact the per-app profile doesn't apply would be very annoying. I do this with NVCP for MPC-BE.

My freesync never turns on for video. What are you watching video with?

It is NOT enable. Freesync is not needed at all on EVR&DirectShow players, but enabling the general setting (which is the default settings when using a freesync monitor), which does NOT turn into forcing free-sync in every application (improtant!), trigger a driver bug with some EVR video players, causing tearing on EVR borderless mode.
Creating ad-hoc profiles for those players, where you assure that free-sync is disabled on that specific application, does not solve the issue which was re-introduced with Windows 10 version 1903 after 2 years...
So yes, it's a driver bug, freesync general setting is just a trigger. The only two mitigation are: completely turning off free-sync support (in the screen panel of the radeon settings or in the monitor OSD) or (if allowed by the player) using a different API for fullscreen presentation (like Direct3D11) which limit a lot the capabilities of the players.
Please note this bug is not present in Windows 10 version 1809 and previous versions and turn on "disable full-screen optimisations" in the executable properties does not fix anything.

Nice to see more VLK extensions, wonder if Wolfenstein Youngblood uses any of these and I see the Vulkan runtime/loader is still using 1.1.106.0

And profile wise well there's HighPerfGPU for Gears of War 5 and Wolfenstein Youngblood and that's about it.
(Prefer dedicated GPU over integrated if the system has this.)

And for the INF this got added to various parts.

    ati2mtag_ProxySettings_DX10_PXAA_common

In addition to the existing two DX10 ones from before.

    ati2mtag_ProxySettings_DX10
    ati2mtag_ProxySettings_DX10_PXAA

I assume it's shared D3D10+ DXGI something but not really sure.

EDIT: Oh and the known issues and the footnote for testing from AMD's driver page.

    And this was from 19.7.2

So these are new entries here.

    • Some system configurations may experience green color corruption after install of Radeon Software when running Windows® 10 May 2019 update.
    • Stutter may be experienced when Radeon FreeSync is enabled on 240hz refresh displays with Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
    • Radeon Performance Metrics may report incorrect VRAM utilization.
    • AMD Radeon VII may experience elevated memory clocks at idle or on desktop.
    • Enabling Enhanced Sync may cause game, application or system crashes on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.

(The issues themselves could still exist in earlier drivers like the green screen problem but a acknowledgement is a good first step for AMD fixing the issue.)

I get this Freesync video tearing even with Nvidia GPU (GTX 1070). I assume the problem is related to Windows 1903.

Which one that causing the problem, it is the AMD driver or Operating System or the GPU? For now my system are working fine, after the latest update with my Freesync on.

Just installed 18.12.1.1 as heibay said and I didn’t notice any tearing. At same time, even with driver that old, weird colors are also here, why MS or MS with AMD doesn’t do anything I don’t know...

Easy fix. Install Madvr. Have never had a problem with screen tearing. Plus also have the advantage of better upscaling.

    Clean installed this hopeless driver:

    1) slight motion judder when gaming
    2) Browsing Radeon Settings somewhat laggy

    3) still elevated idle clocks especially memory combined with unexplained GPU activity

That's it folks - back to 19.4.3 for me!

    It's your Monitor. Period.

I rock a 1440p 165hz screen and I have NEVER seen tearing in ANY video on ANY program.

    Ever.

Before this on the 144hz 1080p screen I had too, same thing. No issues.

I think some of you buys really need to invest in a new display for yourselves.

    wat

Issues with the 5700 eh? That sucks dude. Hopefully this fixes them.
