Still no 4K/HDR available in Netflix on Vega... This is ridiculous...

    EDIT:
This actually works now. Capping fps @ refreshrate with Enhanced Sync on works now in DX9.

Tested with Resident Evil: Revelations. No tearing now (with in-game VSync disabled), where I had tearing yesterday.

Not enough horsepower. Nvidia beats the crap out of AMD on video capabilities since CUDA age.

I think I'm done with AMD, 6 months out with no fix for 144hz and Eyefinity.
    Pure bullshit...

Is that a joke? Polaris has 4K/HDR working on Netlix with UVD 6 and Vega has UVD 7.

Oh that's why I missed this I was looking on the driver page for the VII which only has the 19.4.3 drivers whereas it's up for the Vega 56 and 64 pages hah.
(Figured I could just use the page for the latest GPU available and it'd be kept synced and up to date, guess not. :D )

Now then time to see what these have.

    Well where to begin...

First during install an extra flash might be noticed, that's the PCI-E driver doing a thing, if you have something like a PCI-E audio device you might notice it that way too which from the driver list it seems the "Sound video and game controller." driver got update from version 10.0.1.7 to 10.0.1.10

The Vulkan program runtime has been deleted, instead AMD is bundling a custom Vulkan install directly in the driver which i don't know if that's good or bad, good is that it is using the latest 1.1.106.0 version bad is that it's different from the official 1.1.106.0 runtime https://vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home#windows signed by AMD for one but also different file sizes, I just re-installed the official version to be sure because that method of having a custom compiled version of the official runtime seems like a bad thing to do.

AMD User Experience Program is packed into Catalyst Next and set as a auto start install task via the scheduler even if you opt out during install so I just deleted that and a few other AMD tasks before reboot, might be inactive might not but eh don't want it so out it goes.

VP9 media .dll files are out with this driver (amf-mft-decvp9-decoder32.dll and amf-mft-decvp9-decoder64.dll) and amdlogum.exe and ativvaxy_nv.dat are two new files.

EDIT: Yeah there's a second PCI-E bus device now with AMD's 19.20.xx drivers in the task manager, filter driver just placed itself in-between the Microsoft default one adding a AMD .sys file to the thing. Wonder if that's good on non-AMD motherboard hardware or not ha ha.

EDIT: And for other changes it looks like VLK has a shader cache now similar to D3D and OGL in earlier drivers. This is good. :)
(Wii emulator Dolphin had a little workaround for AMD and Intel drivers for this which might not be entirely needed anymore for one example, well for AMD and this driver that is.)

EDIT: And profiles between this and the earlier April drivers for 19.10.xx driver branch.

Rainbow six siege crash 1 time with this driver, hang while selecting operator and i saw battleye service error then crash to desktop.Radeon settings also crash 1 time when i trying to remove "razer synapse" profile at gaming section.I don't know why radeon settings detect "razer synapse" as game :D.

Thank you Jonas as always for the driver dissections xD
Damn, no Yakuza Kiwami 2 :( I am dissapointed.
Unless it was in a previous driver.

    Wait,

So any one wanting to play old BF titles on their Radeon now has to suffer the inferior radeon dx11 driver overhead? (only a few of them got dx12 patched in).

Trust AMD to dump support for features which makes games run better on their stuff instead of just grandfathering it.

BF4 for example, works better on DX11 versus Mantle. Same with Hardline.
Only 2 games from the BF series to use Mantle.

Thief and Dragon Age: Inquisition (after all updates) ran better with Mantle. Not sure about Civ:BE and Sniper Elite 3.

Yeah there's no profiles for any of the current three Yakuza games on PC, Zero and Kiwami 1 on the older engine isn't too problematic but Kiwami 2 could have done with some support but the game itself is struggling due to problems with the port though stronger GPU's can brute force somewhat decent performance but a patch is going to be required to sort out some of these issues. More multi-threaded but in a way that also introduces problems by having it flush resources early and also doing something incorrect in regards to z-pass and culling and thus overdrawing and that causes problems and a extra GPU hit in terms of geometry workload.

Still to test this driver, but looks like YouTube videos might not need 100 watt any more. :)
