I read about it on GeForce. Radeon do same thing? Im actually using 120Hz on desktop and HWInfo report 300MHz Core Clocks for me. Same on my edited via CRU 144Hz mode.

For me it's either 60 or 120. Anything else triggers my clocks going from 150 to 1500. It is a whole fifteen degrees Celsius difference. Perhaps I should report it but I have low expectations, it is happening for ages. Unless it is fixed for fury series gpus and later. Perhaps something haunting like UVD bug.

This is a known limitation; from CRU's notes:

Thanks. I've dropped to 72.345hz (220mhz clock) with this LCD standard option and not only I have stable image (75hz was not stable anymore), but now with memory clock dropped again at 150mhz. It is a great trade-off. Problem semi-solved for the time being.

I can't believe it! For the first time since I started using a Crossfire setup (and I it is nearly three years now), I can reliably prevent my second card from waking up from ULPS sleep in EVERY application, including video players, Skype, etc, by creating a profile for it in the driver and setting Crossfire mode to "disabled". I had tried this multiple times with the previous drivers and it worked only with very specific games (and never with 2D apps) but it seems to be working everywhere now with this driver.

@warlord : I am not saying it will fix are your problems, but your really need to upgrade that CPU. It is definitely holding you back. The 390x is still a fine GPU.

Unfortunately, I have not a spare gpu and athlon is not an apu, the best solution is buying a more efficient gpu together with new system. My cpu at maximum oc easily equals/rivals first gen i7 920/860 and first gen i5 750 cpus, I can live with that for a bit longer.

I've just moved back to the green team.

I found there software to be to temperamental, some nice features but just to buggy. Not seen much of an improvement since they released there new drivers.

I find this amusing since the general feeling in the Green forums is that the drivers have gotten bloated even more, bugs last a long time, and driver updates break things that worked previously, and that overall driver quality is lower.

Now add to this that 11xx series is coming, meaning that optimizations and dev time will focus on that, and historically, NV will nerf older card performance to generate a smooth performance ramp up chart with the new tech. This has been discussed before, and I'm just reminding people.

^^ Also if Green Eye not give Hardware Sheduler it will mean only one thing....
Yet another ca$h Grab. (It will be similar situation to Intel when 2 to 4 cores is enough for Gaming Industry if wanna more -> 1000USD Please :eek:o_O)
If they give >700USD MSRP for x80 GPU then we have our answer.

But still minority on Forums will stick to base benchmarks, but IMO it is not representing Real Vega 56/64 Potential, on top of that we have Low Knowledge of how important is FreeSync for Gaming, ppl don't know the diffrence.
Not so much articles in press also means something.

It is nothing magical in nV Driver at all:
    1. Bandwidth conservation 4.2.2 RGB (if You want Full 4.4.4 RGB then you must apply tweak)
    2. Extreme Culling (with even Tesselation culling <- Yes )
    3. Tweaked, many things (Shadows, vertex, Geometry culling etc.)

No, my statement is not negative, ATI driver Team still learning stuff, but when they did we can safety assure that will be new boost for Vega in the future ~ 20% to FPS in 1440p
As Im Tweaker/Moder therefore i know whats happen here & there ;)

All of this IQ based in-House Tweaks makes what nv is today.
Also you can add to this Owning UE3/4 with Gameworks integrated into by UE
That means they know what they can do to make things faster (Your eye hardly notice this)

    ==
    Note for Radeon Users:

Here are Culling options avaible for Frostbite engine, not every tweak works for every FB Game tho.
USER.CFG in Game folder, underlined BF1 & BF V compatible culling:

    DebrisSystem.MeshViewCullingEnable 1
    Enlighten.LocalLightCullingEnable 1
    EntityFrustumCull.Enable 1
    EntityGridRenderQuery.UseTracingTerrainShadowCulling 1

    Render.StaticModelCullSpuJobEnable 1
    Render.StaticModelPartCullEnable 1
    Render.StaticModelPartFrustumCullEnable 1
    Render.StaticModelPartOcclusionCullEnable 1
    Render.StaticModelPartShadowCullEnable 1
    Render.EdgeModelAdditionalCullEnable 1
    Render.EdgeModelCullEnable 1
    Render.EdgeModelFrustumCullEnable 1
    Render.EdgeModelOcclusionCullEnable 1

    PS.
Also some say that Image Quality is no diffrent when one compare Fiji Vs Vega?
It is better on Vega, really it can be observed by an naked eye
    BF1, ME: A, AC: O and mostly when Playing Forza H3 & MS7....

GooD'like Image Quality is the sole reason im with ATI Technologies.
GoD Bless you all with Crisp & Clear IQ :D

Everybody knows the costs are Heavy for this kind of Quality, this is also the main diffrence between ATI & nv.

I bought my wife an Nvidia GTX 1060, on her PC it always had a yellow ! (error 43) and never worked with whichever drivers we installed other than ones from 2016, which started to cause significant problems in games, tried everything to fix it (including a thread in this forum seeking help) nothing worked. Fortunately bought from Amazon and their returns policy is fantastic so she's using my spare AMD RX 480.
