with 7970.7950 they had a lot to do with VRM they had different model/capacity on each bios so the different bios would cause trouble with different bios from a card with different VRM but since I dont mod a bios since 2015 I dont know if Vega and Fiji are the same

If your card has a nano PCB, you can try the "unofficial" XFX 64 BIOS that I used to flash my Pulse56 (Samsung HBM).

You'll probably have no problem, but as always there is a slight risk.

Btw, where did you find a Vega 64 Pulse? There is no such model...only V56 Pulse.

sorry if that is been discussed thousands of times but is there a point to alter Timing level out of the 0 default if we actually tweak timings with this tool?

or is it that there is some hidden timings that are not present in this software and that would be modified when we apply Timing level 1 or 2?

    thanks

There is a difference between Lev 1 & 2 or Auto (not much but there is)
    You need to restart.

    Just Use Lev.1 + Mod.

The Levels are predefined timing sets from AMD, they're part of the display library (ADL).
To see what AMD exactly changes with these presets, you could choose one, apply, then refresh the MMIO registers. (doesn't work on Navi of course..)

    Cheers!

About LVL1 and LVL2.....it's the memory overvolt that can stabilize the situation or the GPU overvolt? Cause it's something about the memory controller and not the memory modules themselves.....

And I found that Quake Champions engine is really perfect to show artifacts about these parameters tweaking.

Remember to adjust V for Tweak.
    Normally i have 1120HBM2 at 900 or lower V
For Tweak i need to bump this up to 918 or 925 (depends on engine).

And the GPU V is totally irrelevant ?

    For Mem Tweak - Yes
Only IF (HBM2 interconector Floor) Voltage matters.
It can impact HBM2 Temps & Power draw.

    Thanks ;)

I've found "automatic" setting works better in games than LVL1, despite LVL1 providing higher bandwidth (in the microbenchmarking of course).

can anyone tell me what exactly is this "test mode" I'm asked about when trying to run XL version? is this something that changes windows and is it restored once I close XL? I see mentioned above that some games don't run with this. I don't want to mess up my OS.
    thanks

Test mode in WinX is for instaling not-valid (not digitally signed) drivers.
    it's for Testing, it's safe.
