AMD Mantle will benefit Lower-End CPUs, not mainstream and high-end PCs.

Lot of nvidia trolls here :/

People were expecting 40% improvements on all hardware? come on.

If it helps on cpu bound stuff like 64 player servers where I get most frame drops and keeps them minimum frames up by 15% then I'm happy.

I'll post some multiplayer benches anyways for people genuinely interested in seeing improvments, stuff like minimum frame rate ect

AMD just need to push the driver now.

You should have seen all the comments at battlelog, omg... They're like a plague in the gaming world, but most of all totally clueless :wanker:.

this is good news for budget gaming PC's and people who just want to run stuff at PS4 quality settings and framerates. Will make building a pc for this purpose even cheaper.

Most seem to have a problem comprehending what "up to" actually means...

It means a constant 40% improvement in all situations on all hardware variations right...

There were a lot if AMD faithful on here propping it up that way and shouting down anyone that said otherwise. This is about what I expected. I was more interested in what it would mean for the APU's and mobile looks like it will be a nice improvement there.

The test scenario three with the CF290x's and the 4970x claiming that it was a CPU bottleneck is quite humorous.

I would of thought multi gpu set up's is where most cpu bottlenecks are prominent?

Also johan(repi) did say he picked a bit which was very cpu heavy (you can go test that bit yourself) where the cpu would bottleneck on directx.

NVM missed the part about the South China Sea being the mission used never made it that far on PC as mission two was so bugged it was unplayable for me.

Yeah now @ mantle it should be less driver issues, not the other way around.

Be happy for AMD cpu users! This will finally let them game with more than 30 fps!

Yeah, I agree, this is appearing to be very good news for AMD CPUs and APUs. Just because allot of us have i5 and i7s in our rigs doesn't mean we're the only people gaming. Just look at the difference in FPS on CPU bound games between the Phenom II/FX series from AMD when compared to even a i5 2000 series. It's a big difference and the reason that most of us are on Intel right now. If this narrows that gap by ~25% (when CPU bound) then that's a darned good thing for the vast majority of gamers. :infinity:

and do not forget that our CPUs may become the bottleneck in a future so.... :E I mean, your CPU CAN live longer

Why is everyone bitching? A free increase is still a free increase, plus mantle is so much more than just raw FPS numbers.

Any performance gain is nice indeed. Also, if there's a proficient performance game in the high end, NVIDIA might finally do something about their ridiculous pricing as of late.

Seeing as you're too lazy to actually read, here's what DICE benchmark tells us
