Actually texture quality and detail levels looks very similar, hard to tell with a re-sized screenshot.

That Mantle screenshot looks a bit worse as it seems to have a slightly higher contrast or gamma value.

Mantle and DX11 look the same it's just the brightness that is different and needs work or.. fixing somehow, maybe turning down ingame brightness. Or maybe they'll include a gamma/brightnessfix in future updates.

Yes, it's resized so sorry about that, if you want I can add the original pictures in a spoiler, for whoever's interested, Hilbert?

I guess if I could describe what I'm experiencing is lack of color depth. Maybe there is a problem with the drivers.

^Upload those images to a faster host, please!^

cheers. yeah, Mantle version seems to have some lighting issues for some reason, maybe it's a 7xxx card issue, dunno. I'm having pretty much this problem http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065224388458174/1/

starts off really good, when mantle works as should, I'm capping out 109fps (playing at 110hz) with pretty much whatever settings I throw at it. but then it starts stuttering, fps drops all over place. feels like an alpha. We'll see if someone finds a fix, it could be many things. If not, I'll just wait for next driver update.

Yeah it would be cool to see those images Deathchild. But whatever host you are using is horrendous. Try imageshack or imgur.

Just over double the frames using Mantle over DX for me, tested with Star Swarm :)

Haha lol sorry guys, dunno what's up with the host provider today, it's very slow. Normally it's uber fast. It's an image hosting provider in my country. I'll load em up in another provider sec.

Hmm, my previous post got lost somewhere...

Repi already responded on twitter and has said that the brightness difference is a BF4 bug, not caused by Mantle.

Various screenshots already show that there are no rendering errors, it's just their brightness that's off.

I've been at work today so haven't had a chance yet to review the whole thread. Are others reporting issues with 7 series cards if so I may wait for the next driver?

a lot of people have very erratic performance with mantle, see the link I posted. The driver itself is fine so it's worth installing anyway. It's not THE driver for mantle + 7xxx cards though, according to AMD.

Yeah you do get a boost with a 7 series card still, just nothing major, more optimisations coming for the 7s in later drivers, so they will get better.

Definitely try mantle out hall, it's amazing. :) Only wish DICE would release a quick fix for the brightness stuff.

With mantle gpu vram usage has gone up to 2.5k, before it was hovering below 2k, 1800-1900 with no AA @ 2560x1440. Cpu utilization has gone up (through the roof tbh) along with gpu temps and utilization.

Looks like the difference between ycbcr and full rgb but then again the glove in the mantle pic has darker more defined texture.
