Guys, I'm trying to analyze thermal calibration algorithm of RVxx's on-die thermal diodes and need some reports captured on different HD 4xxxx display adapters. If you have any HD 48xxx then please run RivaTuner with the following command line switches and post the results here:

    RivaTuner.exe /rr730 /rr740 /rr748 /rr74c /rr760

Thanks a lot. It would be also very nice if you guys could capture the report when GPU temperature is as low as possible (it can be acheived by forcing fan speed to 100% and running the system in such conditions for a few minutes to allow the GPU to be cooled down). I'm assuming that PTAT temeprature correction is in use (i.e. temperature correction is Proportional To Absolute Temperature), so it would be nice to see such reports in different thermal conditions.

Weird. Is it the same display adapter as in your previous message?

Here's mine. Running @ a constant 42% fan speed to keep temps below 70*C under load.

PS: I've got the newest Sapphire HD4870 bios released on 26.9.

    Gainward 4850 512 DS
Gainward 4850 512 (dual slot cooler)

Verry high KRPM fan, noise 1 too. even at 0% it's making enough rotations to cool idle.
Without overclocking it stays 6%, because it won't get hot. vista 64 bits giving wierd sizzle at GPU-Z. (yes there is noise difference between 0 and 6% :S)

also added bios controlled picture; rivaturner doesn't pick up my fan in auto section sadly. still at 36 degress atm.
