With the wrong specs listed, it’s hard to know if they actually have any cards, or are just trying to generate site traffic. Silly price though, at this rate, even the 7950 is going to be a good bit more than the GTX580. Anyone with 6k cards in CF know if the games that are listed as near 2x scaling already scale that well, or if it’s a new feature of the 7k cards.
Proper numbers, looks impressive. Looks like a single card will finally be as fast as my overclocked 5970. Looks like the 6970 might even be as fast as a stock clocked 6990 or pretty close? The 7990 will be a monster. Bring it on.
This graph and the post above me are straight from the 7970 reviewers .pdf. Based on the graph the 7970 is about 48% faster on average than the GTX580.
Any news when review from hilbert will be out? Tomorrow i suppose? Also performance isnt as big as i would want for me to switch over to amd again. Im just gonna wait it out for maxwell
So why you need this review that urgent, if you are waiting new Nvidia generation? BTW, 2x7970 in CF performs better than 3x580s :nerd:
he is interested and so am I. good to see some good stuff coming from amd competition is great. I would hope that 2 7970`s would be 3 1year old 580`s
DX11.1, PCI-E 3.0, 3W in iddle, 3Gb VRAM.... Overclocked it will destroy any benchmark. I think you get it :nerd: P.S. I'm not a fanboy, maybe I'll get Nvidia in 2012, but someone here ...
Because i love to read reviews and conpetition is always good for us, the consumers. Does Not mean that i am urgent to buy these amd cards by any means
You didn't read what he said. He said the performance increase isn't big enough for him to go back to ATI. In other words he would have to weight up the loss of physx and AA in certain games as well as the ATI drivers against the performance increase. If there was a massive increase over a GTX580 I would switch to ATI too. But the increase doesn't look big enough for me to justify those things.
You are wrong as all fanboys. As I said: this war and marketing tricks, doesn't help us to get more games. We play on outdated, DX9-ports. So who cares about DX11.1 or 12 or other API. My next upgrade will not be for benchmarks. I have 12 threads, but Skyrim uses only 2, and all we have 25-30 fps in towns. This framrate isn't what I expected from devs :bang: And this is not only in Skyrim - Witcher 2, L.A. Noire, ACR... I'm tired of this crap. My next CPU will be 200$ CPU.
Exactly my point, glad someone understands me. Sorry, but you are a narrow minded asshat. Way to assume fanboyism in very wrong way. What the hell do games have to do with anything about conpetition between gpu companies? If there was no competition, prices would be sky high; that is why i like to see competition. It makes companies lower their prices and better their cards to get consumers to buy their products.
