    Hi guys,

I'd love to know what you all think about the AMD Gaming Evolved (Raptr) client. Do you like seeing it bundled with our drivers, or would you prefer it as a separate download? Finally do you like it and do you use it? I will create a poll but please feel free to leave feedback about it here. Thank you in advance.

I would prefer it to be opt in on the driver installation.

Right now it's selected by default and the quick install will install it.

I would use it if it was lighter, more elegant and less focused on social networks. Facebook really?? dafuq, I can tweet and wassup too, right?

    Too obtrusive and ugly.

It's a cheap copy of Nvidia Geforce experience. Ditch that and instead pay the developper to include some usefull options of radeonpro to CCC.

I really do not like it. I thought some of the optimizations it suggested where not good based on my hardware. Some games it suggested low and medium settings and I am using a 295x2.

I think those sugested options are community based, they are not tested and submited by AMD. In that regard Nvidia is much better, and their sugestions are pretty good.

    Never used it.

Distributing it separately would be perfect.

I use the Raptr app, but I am somewhat old school, I prefer things to be separate installs.

The app works great, has a ton of great features, and works wonderfully for streaming and GVR. Really like the GVR function. lol

Still, I don't care for third party software that you can obtain separately, in driver packages. Advertize it and perhaps provide a link in the installer. I do custom installs anyway, and simply de-select it each time.

I've already writen in a report to AMD that Raptr is pointless at least for me, we need a helpful tool such as Radeon pro.

at least radeon pro incl someuseful teaks (dynamic sync, triple bufferin, frame limiter..etc)

why not Raptr creater focus on new tech like DSR or MFAA while AMD focusing on game optimisation, it's a briliant idea. agree?

My feelings about Raptr is that its pointless for me, and thats about it. ..OR have I missed something?

It needs some level 100 Geek blood all over its body.

I do love its GVR feature for recording gameplay but would prefer if its not being included with the drivers.

For us who genuinely use it, we don't rely on driver installs to update it as it is a self sufficient stand-alone application and thus have to always deselect it during driver installs.

It's kinda buggy, I have it disabled at the moment.

Yesterday it updated itself and immediately afterwards I noticed a fan was slowly revving up. After I started MSI Afterburner I noticed it wasn't the CPU fan as I thought but rather the GPU fans. This new Raptr version somehow puts both cards into 3D mode while it is running. With 14.11.1 both cards go into 100% 3D clock, with 14.11.2 only the second card goes 100% GPU clock while the primary card alternates between idle and various intermediary clocks. Exiting Raptr returns the secondary to ULPS and primary to idle as they should.

Like other said, the main problem with Raptr is that it ain't Radeon Pro.

Yea like the other guys have said, if it were a tool more focused on the hardcore fundamentals it would be great. You know, things we gamers actually find useful because we're using it to play games and not all those other pretty useless distractions you got goin on in the tool.

And the one option that bugs me I don't know if it's still there because I havent used the thing for a while, is if you uncheck the option for the Raptr client to send back usage data, it automatically becomes useless in the one thing it was made for.
    It literally tells you,
"Listen buddy, I either send data back to the servers or I will not work"

I don't think I've ever seen another program behave that way, that if you opt out of the data collection option it blocks itself from working. That's the very first thing that rubbed me the wrong way, and it was more than enough for me to uninstall.

I dont have any issues with it per se,

But there just isnt enough functionality for it to be a must-have tool.

    Unlike Radeon Pro...

Yes, i know John is working with them, but its not the same.

Radeon Pro was/is a must have tool.

Don't like it, don't need it and it's really annoying to have to go through a custom install.
