Yikes. AMD, I knew you wouldn't beat Intel...but...those numbers...they are shocking.

I wonder how hard Ivy Bridge will slap this in the face.

Anyway, I already have a cooler for this processor and will probably be better than that "water cooling" thing they made.

This could cause a significant delay of Ivy Bridge. Intel would go "Why bother? 2600/2700K is already dominating the market."

Hmm, that means around $350-$400 NZD....

So by my calculations, it appears I'll be getting a Phenom II next week instead of the BD. lol

Damn,i really hoped BD will regain the crown and force intel to drop prices.
    I hope something changes soon.

I didn't have much high expectations anyway. If BD was a challenge to Intel, there would be a big buzz going on for some time now, from whatever leaks from those that did know. Very disappointing. If AMD fails, Intel will play and make the rules of its own. The expensive, completely "locked" to factory settings CPUs nightmare will come true.

Hmm if they're true that's a shame, I was hoping it was going to be good competition so it would drive prices down for my new build. Or replace the parts I was going to purchase anyway.

hmm, is that 4.2ghz the default clock or an OC? if its the default clock... then thats kinda disappointing...

edit - 3.6ghz default, 4.2ghz turbo. somewhat disappointing.
