    Yeah
CryEngine Games have Great Visuals, and IMO that one like C3 is a Great Game 4 Benchmarking !
    No cheap Imitations :flip2:

On 980ti performance is often scaling linearly with clock. If you go look at Asher of the Singularity benches for example and multiple by 1.25 you'll get almost exactly the same result I *actually get *when I run the bench at 1500

    1200mhz stock
    1500mhz oc

    25% oc

Its not possible for you to get '5-6 FPS gains at any resolution'

At 1080p that might be 10% gain

At 4k that could be 20% gain.

That makes zero sense. Measure performance gain in % and compare to oc%

Okay so I have a deviation of what 1.2 fps between 1080p/1440p and 2160p...That is small enough for me to say that in AoTS my OC gives me (more accurately) a 4.4 to 5.6 fps gain across all resolutions...

I prefer to use frames over percentages because it is a better representation of real world gaming performance.

You got 11-13% increase in performance least on 1080p of course.

Just wanted to bring to the attention of Guru3D Fiji owners that there is a method to confirm Fiji memory controller / HBM clocks in steps as per info by AMD Matt. Due to the size of post here is link to it on OCN.

Well, I know a new gen is coming, but I just purchased a Sapphire Fury X. I've already a R 290 (non X), and with Blood&Wine (custom settings via editing the .ini) I'm sometimes under 25fps , so... Same thing with few other games.

I know it's not the smartest move, I could wait for Vega, but hey, I need a little more performances right now, I considered it like a gift to myself :p And with the watercooling, having the heat outside the case is a great plus for me. I play at 1440p with freesync on my asus MG279Q...

I'll received it next week I guess. Anyway, I just wanted to say "hello, I'm in the fury x owner club now" :D

    (Sorry for my english)

Cool! (Pun intented :D) Did you get a good deal on the card? I personally think you will enjoy it very much. I did not purchase one myself but instead, went the 980Ti direction last December. However, I did not have any place to mount that radiator in my case. (And the XFX Fury Non X Version was too long to fit in my case.)

Not a good deal, normal price here in France (around 590-600 euros). I'll try to sell my R9 290 (it's an HIS version with custom cooler) too. Oh I know I'll enjoy it :D The thing is, I want to stay with ati (well, amd) because of Freesync, and "futur proof". I mean, my 290 is 3 years old and style very good. When you compare it to the nVidia cards from the same era, whoaw, nVidia dropped the ball... And, I have no stability problem with amd drivers so...

I may have the chance to sell the FuryX for around 500-600€, do you think its worth it selling?

I thought that this is well known :D

Real steps where you see improvement is in 50MHz steps.
For my card it is step from:
    ...
    473 to 522
    523 to 572
    573 to 623
    ...

I used OclMemBench to confirm that there is absolutely no change in performance between 523 and 572MHz.

What you see as only differentiating factor when testing above and below 400MHz is different timing set in vBIOS.
So basically while 373 and 422 would perform at same effective clock, there is change in timing once you move above 400MHz as it is part of different setting range.

But I think I did write it somewhere before.

400MHz strap timings make a pitiful difference to AIDA64 GPGPU Benchmark :D plus 3DM13 benches. I will try OclMemBench as well ;).

Forget the range you are highlighting as what is occurring is x clock will default to x step, again shown in the AIDA64 GPGPU Benchmark results which I've posted on OCN thread for 100MHz, 400MHz, 500MHz, 520MHz, 535MHz, 545MHz, 565MHz, 575MHz & 600MHz.

I have considered it not a well known thing how MC/HBM steps for clock (ie 500/545/600/666), as I see many peoples bench results not at these steps for HBM clocks.

There are straps/timings for 100MHz, 400MHz and the 500MHz+600MHz are identical, I would assume as you have been doing some timings mods you've seen that ;) .

The odd thing I've noted in Fiji VRAM_Info section of ROM is the same RAM IC straps/timings have been entered twice. On Hawaii/Grenada you one had 1 set per RAM IC supported/configured.

This JEDEC HBM PDF you have posted about in 1 of your posts any chance of a copy? cheers.

I think it is normal to have 2 different sets of timing straps if you intend to source memory from 2 manufacturers. That's what I presume, but in vBIOS it looks like only one manufacturer was ready for delivery.

And that sux because all those vBIOSes have just 3 entries together in the end. And they are pretty ugly at that.

He could buy two 480s if he's convinced, if not a single 1070 + money to spare

Money to spare? If he is in Spain he'll be paying 500Eur for 1070 jus like the rest of EU.

FE is 520 EU right now, if he sells for 600 euros he'll be able to buy a good AIB version for around 480/490, and have 100~ euros spare.

    1 USD ~=0.9 EUR

    $380 ~=; 342 EUR

+ 22% VAT + ~30 euros extra EU stuff and we're at 450 euros for an AIB blower 1070

    $240 RX480 ~= 216eur + 22% VAT + ~ 30 = 300 euros

    Meh...

If (big IF) i sell around 500-600€ would be to wait for a bigger Polaris or "small Vega". Get an upgrade for that money.

Im selling my Fury X and using a RX 480 till Vega.
My friend really wants my fury X. He has my GTX 970.
$300 plus his 970 so I have a gpu to use for a few weeks.

But I will get Vega in Nov because its peak season time at UPS and as a Driver I will make $1000 a week.

Thats when I will get what ever its called HBM 2.0 8GB Fury X replacement.
